Written Piece (20%) - Due Week 6 in Tutorials (1200 - 1500 words)

Rationale Organisations and groups are comprised of individuals who must organise and manage themselves in relation to other individuals. Consequently, it is important to understand not only how groups work in organisations but also how individuals work within groups and how our own behaviour affects the group. Your task is to explore your experiences as a member of your Project Group and discuss how your role and the role of others impacts on your groups development. Your aim is to: demonstrate that you can link theory and practice; identify the most appropriate literature for your discussion supported by relevant incidents or experiences within your Project Group; provide an analysis that at least covers task and maintenance roles, Belbins work group roles and Tuckmans group development model; include recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the Project Group. Please note the following requirements; Your assignment is to be submitted to Safe Assign (Blackboard Assessment) as a final copy before you hand in your hard copy to your tutor.
