Written Analysis

I thought the process of the food log was very easy because all you had to do was remember what you ate that day and record it. The foods were easy to find and generally had the right servings on the nutritional facts. Also, the whole site i used was very organized which is a plus. I was surprised by the amount of fat I eat on a normal basis. Also, I am surprised that I dont eat enough fruits and vegetables. My diet right now isnt that good because I dont eat enough fruits and vegetables. Also, I probably have too many calories for most people but I would actually like to have more to hopefully gain more weight. In order to achieve a better diet I need to incorporate fruits and vegetables into everyday meals two or three times a day. Also, if I want to gain weight, I should be eating more protein and less sugar from candy bars and such. Things I would change about my diet would be to eat fruits and vegetables three times a day. Also, I would try to lay off of the artificial sugars in candy. Some general observations that I have made are that this is a good way to learn your eating habits. Also, the food log tells you if you are intaking enough calories or too much of any. Also, the food log can help keep your foods organized and counts your calories so that you know if you are having too much or not. I believe this assignment was very beneficial because it could really shock someone when they actually see what they are eating on paper. I think that is important because some people dont realize how much fat or calories they eat in a normal day and the food log helps put you into reality.
