II.Qualification&Experience:
(A) FieldWorkInstructor(IR&PM):(i)ThecandidateshouldhaveaFirstClassMastersDegree
inLSW/IR&LW/IR&PMfromarecognizeduniversity;(ii)CandidateswithPh.D./M.Phil.will
be preferred; (iii) Candidates having work experience in University/College/Reputed
Industrial Establishments/Labour Department in the Central/ State Government will be an
added qualification and will be given preference; (iv) Candidate must be capable of
conductingorguidingordirectingResearch.
(B) Research Officer (WSRC): (i) A Doctorate Degree or research work of an equally high
standard; (ii) Good academic record with at least 2nd Class (C in 7point scale). Masters
DegreeinanyoftheSocialSciencesfromanIndianUniversityoranequivalentdegreefrom
aforeignuniversity;(iii)Experienceinresearchandfieldstudyshallbeanaddedqualification.

III.GeneralInstructions:
(a) The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the Berhampur University Website
www.bamu.nic.in. The candidates submitting the application must pay the prescribed
application fee i.e. Rs. 1000/ (Rs. 750/ for SC/ST) in the form of Bank Draft in favour of
ComptrollerofFinance,BerhampurUniversity,payableatSBI,BhanjaBihar(Code:2107)along
withthefilledinapplications,failingwhichtheirapplicationshallnotbeconsidered.
(b) ReservationasperGovernmentRulesshallbeapplicable.
(c) Applicantsfortheabovepostsshouldsubmitsevencopiesoftheapplicationsdulyfilledinalong
withcopiesoftheacademiccertificates,marklistsandresearchpublicationsandbooks(seven
copies each) so as to reach the undersigned on or before 21.09.2011. Applications received
beyondthelastdatewillnotbeentertainedunderanycircumstances.
(d) Thoseclaimingconsiderationagainstreservedpostsshouldsubmitthecastecertificateorother
relevant certificates from the appropriate authority in the form prescribed under the relevant
rulesofGovernmentalongwiththeapplication.
(e) Onesetofapplicationmaybeforwardedthroughproperchannel/withNOCfromtheemployer
those who are already in service. Six other copies may be sent as Advance Copy. In case the
applicationisnotreceivedthroughproperchannel/withNOCbythetimetheUniversitydecides
toissueCallLetters,thecandidateshallnotbecalledforinterview.
(f) Candidatesshouldencloseseparatecertificatesinsupportofteachingexperiencereflectingthe
periodwithdateandalsoinstitutions.
(g) Government servants will not be accepted on deputation or Foreign Service terms and
conditions, if selected. Those who retain lien with their parent employer, leave salary and
pensioncontributionshallbebornebythecandidateincasetheyreturntotheirparentservice.
(h) Selected candidates will be required to join within one month from the date of issue of the
appointmentorderunlessotherwise specifiedorpermitted.However,undernocircumstances
extension of time for joining shall exceed 90 days from the date of issue of the appointment
order.
(i) NoTAwillbepaidtothecandidatesforappearingattheinterview.However,SC/STcandidates
willbepaidTAasperORV(OrissaReservationofVacanciesofPostsandServices)Rules.
(j) Age limit for appointment in the above posts shall be the same as applicable to State
Governmentservants.However,theupperagelimitmayberelaxedbytheappointingauthorityin
deservingcases.
(k) Candidates must have passed the High School Certificate or an equivalent or any higher

examination with Oriya as a language subject or must have Oriya as a medium of

examinationinnonlanguagesubjectsatH.S.C.orequivalentexamination.
(l) The posts will be governed by the New Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme as
introduced by the State Government in F.D.O.M. No. 30132/F dated 13.7.2006. However,
persons selected for the posts mentioned above will be covered under the old pension
regulations,iftheyarealreadycoveredundertheoldpensionrules.
(m) Personscomingfromotherinstitutions/organizationsshallhavetopaytowardsproratapension,
gratuityandunutilizedleavecontributionifthesamearenotpaidbytheirpreviousemployeras
perrules.
(n) TheemployeesrecruitedmusthavetostayintheUniversityQuartersonthecampus.
(o) TheUniversityreservestherighttocallonlyselectedcandidatesasdecidedbyitforinterview.It
alsoreservestherighttofillupornottofilluptheaboveadvertisedpost(s).
