- 1 Solar System, albeit a huge one, 12 Planets - Protagonist-Race Once human/humanoid - To grant the ability to surive under harshening

conditions (due to war with technologically superior race) tweaked/implemente other Dna into their own. - Unforseen sideeffects i.e. infertile males, most females dying, implementing certain characteristics of the race they merged with involuntarily into their own. Became a parasitic Lifeform needing to survive by feeding on other lifeforms by 'draining' them. - Social System similar to that of an insect hive. - 3 'ranks': - Queens. Ontop of the foodchain, Leaders, as well as the only means for the Race to reproduce (Queen giving her Genetic material, in form of seeds that she caries in her , into a 'pool' of sorts, These seeds then grow and when matured hatch) The process to create a guide needs 2 Queens to combine their Genetic Material and brings considerable effort i.e. the Seeds need to be constantly monitored and not nearly close to all of the seeds eventually hatch. To create a batch of drones leaving the growingpool unattended is enough. When producing new offspring every queen passes her personal characteristics on. As for example when an aggressive, choleric, psychoqueen reproduces, her minions would naturally be unstable, bloodthirsty and unruly. The Queens constantly struggle for power. There arent many queens, and a New queen to be born is a very rare occasion, if it happens at all. That Queen then usually takes control of a certain number of drones and maybe even a few Guides who turn their allegiance over to her and founds a new Hive. Each Queen governs her own Hive, although a Hive can consist of multiple Hive-Ships, who are in turn goverend by Guides. - Guides. Guides are essentially the Elite of a Queens offspring. They oversee the campaigns their respective Queen wants to execute, the Construction of new ships, they ration the food and Command her forces in Battle. They are capable of independent thought and can serve in position from i.e. Lieutenant of a strikeforce to General of a Hive-Ship to Advisors of the Queen herself. - Drones. Drones are the backbone of the races society. They form the Backbone of a Queens army, maintain the Ships and will execute the hard physical labor. They are not 'really' capable of independent thought, as they are controlled by Queens and Guides alike through a system of pheromones. They are the most numerous of a Queens minions. Physical Appeareance: Still Humanoid, although taller. Bipedal, opposable thumbs. 4 Fingers Small-Big-Small-Thumb. No hair. Bones potruding from the back of their skull in a Mane-like(?) fashion. Still have eyes and Mouths, no lips. No noses either, no eyebrows. Skin partly covered in chitinous Material. Upright, tall stature, very tall.

Impressive regenerative Abilities (main reason they merged with the species they combined their dna with) If recently fed, can survive massive physical traumatas. No Skincolor, lacking pigments. Drones in particular look far from human. They have a human posture i.e. Bipedal and hands. But they lack eyes and nose. The upper half of their head is usually covered in a bonelike material that extends into the characteristical bone-mane. Social Behaviour. Queens command respect and are benevolent Dictators. They are usually feared and revered both amongst their Kind. Guides are respected and come close to, in a way, nobility. Their Ranks are signified by Facial Tattoos. Right Cheek-Age. Above right eye-Acomplishments. Chin-current Rank. Drones are the most lowly serfs. Their conscience is based on a very instinctual level, it is doubtfull they have a proper sense of their own existance. They are almost unable to act on their own if not directed to a purpose by either a Guide or a Queen. Their social skills equal that of an ant and their ability of forming coherent, understandable sentences or use of language is... mediocre, at best. Known Queen-Hives. Kyzithba-Dilvari Hive Hgradagrid Hive Olur-josadahar Hive The tragedy of man, divine comedy for the gods, an introduction. Mankind as we know is over. Man's alien neighbours, the Ahati, have won the arms race. They have advanced technologically far faster than expected. They have given the human race an ultimatum. With an atmosphere artificially polluted with toxins and radiation, they have weeks to live or voluntarily give themselves up to slavery. Leaving their planet to be conquered and stripped of it's resources. Split into factions, man is left with little options for survival. The most obvious being surrender. Others more brave and reckless wish to die in vain and in glory, like the tales of old. But others more callous and calculating seek a means of advancing man's evoloution to adapt to the harshening conditions on Earth, to be able to survive the war. And, perhaps, strike back? *** An alien ship crashes near a remaining undergound science base, whilst on patrol. The passengers are found dead, burned, unable to escape the blast. The ship itself is useless, but the medical bay is relatively intact. The engine just failed, a one in a million occurence, for a race so advanced. Inside are wonders that the scientists would never have deemed possible in their life time. The technology is so far superior but intuitive to use. The Aliens themselves use a language not to far derived from one of earth's ancient tongues...

The scientists quickly hack thier way into the main data base and stumble across something remarkable. The aliens, whilst studying Earth's eco-system, had discovered an insect which could survive the radiation storms and toxins polluting the planet. Quickly taking what they can, the scientists retreat under ground. Hiding thier heatsignatures and skeletal presences from patrol ships. They get to work taking the best elements of this insect to incorporate into Human DNA. The first tests are sucessful, and the plan to evolve what remains of the race is swiftly approved by the last council. But what does the future hold? One week after the last human to willingly take the gene-alteration has been treated, something unexpected happens. Side-effects begin to show up. A widespread epidemic in the female population break's out. Taking a horrifying toll on it and, in but fourteen days, almost wiping every Woman from the face of earth, leaving but a couple of hundreds of them alive. The few that remain fall into a comatos state from which they cannot be woken. Three Weeks after this, a routine test of the remaining survivors brings shocking news. Not only has humankind almost lost ninety-five percent of its female population, but now, more and more of the Men are reported to have become infertile. And there is that ominous, lingering feeling of hunger everybody seems to feel. A hunger that cannot be quenched by eating, nor by drinking... All seems lost, the attempt to better prepare Humankind for the challenges ultimatly a grave mistake. That is, until the first of the supposedly comatose Women, opens her eyes. *** Here you come in again, pabilton. Enhance. *** 10.000 Year's later.

The Ahati were mighty. And Great. And Strong. Technologically ahead of us in every sense of the word. But they were also arrogant. They underestimated us... They were unable, even after our transformation, to understand our own greatness. And the threat that we posed. It took us time to get accustomed to our new ...life. To understand the very existance we were now leading.

The Queen's guided us. Intuitively, they knew how to act, how to lead us. They knew how to take advantage of our newfound strenghts. Our old technology was discarded now unusable and... unfitting for us, our needs. The study and use of Steel and Iron and Steam obsolete. We used different way's to achieve what was needed. The Queens led us into War. And, eventually, to Victory. But most importantly... they knew how to satisfy our... hunger...
*** ### Incoming Transmission ### Haida-Admiral, General Ashultun-Ishtar, 1st. Fleet, 3rd Company. My Lord Iltani, I write to you from the Battlefield and i write in joy. Firstly, our adversaries defences have proven to be just as weak as the Elder-Council calculated them to be. They were not ready for the attack. The first battle halfed their Fleet and took out an estimated 68% of their planetary defenses. Losses on our side are trivial at best, the Fleet's remain intact and operational, although the dead shall be mourned and remembered. Scans show that most of the civil population has taken refuge in subterranian shelters which, however, the other Admirals and I view as a benefit, as our goal is to avoid civilian casulties. If all goes well, this will be a quick campaign. This ends my first Report, onby you shall find more specific calculations of the expected resistance etc. I bid you goodbye and until we meet again. General Ashultun-Ishtar ### End of Transmission ### *** Something else perhaps? any ideas etc. How do you like the idea of showing both sides during the war, maybe even reversing roles in the end? ***

### Incoming Transmission ### Haida-Admiral, General Ashultun-Ishtar, 1st. Fleet, 3rd Company. My Lord Iltani, As you know, the War is still ongoing. Although we have effectivly crushed the Tarnachal Fleet and most likely wiped out their Military-Command, the remaining forces do prove resilient. Although their crude weaponry is no match for our's, they have managed to massivley delay our advances on the ground, in some cases even effectivly bringing the troops to a halt. I cannot help but to pay them credit for their unwavering will to fight. Although ultimatly in vain, i must respect them. I would do as they do, would i be in their situation. But there may be a solution to this problem. The Kalati-Organii, Shamash-Enuu, has proposed a different approach to our current situation. He is advising we retreat our troops and make use of a newly created weapon, called an 'Atmospheric-Intoxication-Device'. attached you shall find information that shall provide details on this matter. I bid you goodbye and until we meet again. General Ashultun-Ishtar ### End of Transmission ### *** ### Incoming Transmission ### Private Interlink Ashultun-Ishtar My Lord Iltani, Marduk Iltani. We have known each other since birth. I value your friendship and i trust your advice, you know this. We fought together and we did so valiantly. You have saved my life, and i have saved your's. I find it is safe to say that we share a bond, that brother's share. Which makes it all the more hard for me to ask, what i shall now ask. Do not use the Weapon the Kalati-Organii is suggesting we should use. Yes, the Tarnachal are proving to be more stubborn and resistant then we thought them to be. Yes, an invasion on the ground would cost lives of our own. But you have read that man's dossier on what this weapon does.

It effectivly makes these people's Home uninhabitable, save for a few minor lifeforms. But has that ever been the way of our people? Have not all the people we have conquered in our history always eventually seen the benefit of beeing part of our Empire? If you allow the use of this Weapon, we shall not incorporate them. We will annihilate them. Nor shall we be allowed to say we defeated them, for that would require a victory over a foe that has been beaten, not swept from existance without a gun beeing fired, or a blade bloodied. Please, Marduk. Heed my advice this time, and me and my men shall bring you swift victory. Please, Brother. ### End of Transmission ### *** ### Incoming Transmission ### Haida-Admiral, General Ashultun-Ishtar, 1st. Fleet, 3rd Company. They are dying by the millions. attached you find my letter of immediate resignation. ### End of Transmission ###
