1. Community Relations

We discussed that most 5-star hotels have various sources of revenue aside from their guestrooms. Other revenue sources would include: in-house laundry, 3 or more food/restaurant outlets, room-service, telephone services and the like. As GMs of this independent property, we would sit down and talk to potential outsourced establishments that would want to tie partnerships with us in regards to selling their merchandise in our property. For example, our usual guest would consist of foreigners. Therefore, we would mostly look for establishments that would sell souvenirs. By renting a space in our property and by selling their products, we will both generate income. Aside from revenue generation, we will also be helping out this potential establishment to build up their brand. Instead of hiring brand known products/ service providers we would most likely support locally owned produced products or local service providers. We would like to promote the little businesses around our area that would help promote cultural exchange as well as maintain a good corporate relationship with them. 2. Property Management Service: 5 star hotels have services that are usually the world-class, quality, established standards that other brand hotels copy. We would pattern our service to these 5 star hotels but we wont entirely copy them. As an independently owned hotel we are expected to be original in our own creative way. (i.e) We might not have those feathered duvet but our beds are designed for comfort and architecture such as figure 1.1.We may not have the best location for a very nice window Figure 1.2 view in our rooms but we may have a guests backyard (Figure1.2).There are many reasons why people travel but the main purpose of people staying in a hotel in a place they are not familiar with is comfort and Figure 1.1

Of course these reasons also entail to luxury like 5 stars. Through basic changes of architecture, a touch of art and a cup of originality, our hotel would be more than just a 5 star. Regular Maintenance check-ups should still be done in order to maintain the philosophy that we uphold. With these possible changes we would be able to create a marketing strategy that would surely attract more business. Everything follows after changes of Services, amenities have been made. 3. Executive Committee Development Establishing and building well-trained and knowledgeable work staff of our property is the backbone of the operation. Without proper foundation we would slowly crumble down in the long run.5 stars are known for their great line of combat with expertise like no other. As Gms of independent hotels we also would want to have these lines of combat but we would of course base it on our day to day operations. Essentially, they would be helping us put things into place. Such us training staffs, help in maintaining property and all of this would drive in revenue as services continue to rise. 4. Branding Affiliation Improvement in marketing strategies and Distribution plans are essential for the success of any hotel property. We would liken these strategies to a 5 star hotel. Such as being visible in all networking sites, post current event or promotional events that would attract possible businesses, partnering with Travel agencies, GDSs, OTAs and a like emphasizing on the originality, luxury, comfort that we offer of that of a 5 star brand. 5. Investor Relations Most 5 star hotels have the capability to do and affect changes to their properties as they are backed up financial aids of their patron (owner). As a GM, before we would be able to accomplish these goals we would build up certain investor relation in terms of investing into our company. We would be presenting out ideas that would render us profit

We would also be presenting out the things we want to change, and how we would change it. We would highlight the fact that if we make money, they make money as well. *Note: Marketing Strategies and Marketing Department will be the essence in achieving our goals of having the same revenue as that of a 5-star hotel.
