(Extra Curricular Activity) Mapua Comedy Bar (Narrative Report)

Fun and Laughter was brought inside Mapua Institute of Technology Gym as the show called Mapua Comedy Bar started last July 15, 2011. The show was very funny that everyone would even shout, scream, clap and wave their hands for the comedians act. Everyone enjoyed the show, thats for sure.

The show was hosted by Keka and Ethel Baba. In starting the show, they tell jokes and sing songs for a warm-up for the main comedians. Then another batch of performers did a dance number for the show after the warm-up of the comedian Keka and Ethel Baba. The performers were called the Front Act. They were cool. After the dance number they introduced the singer-comedian Jaya, the singing iguana. For me, her act was not that entertaining. She sang many songs and copied the voices of the singers of the songs. After her act, Keka was about to sing but because of some technical difficulties, she wasnt able to. So she called her co-host Ethel Baba replace her for the meantime and do her dance number. Ethel was very funny. Her wild dancing is one of the most entertaining acts for me. Next was the act of kuya Erik and Tuko. Their act was about a piece of art winning in the UN art exhibit. Kuya Erik said that his wooden art, made in 3 years, won the UN art exhibit. He also said that he is going to give his art to us Mapuans. He then shows us his art which is Tuko who is acting like a wooden statue. Kuya Erik then tries to prove that his work is really a wood. He tried hitting it with the microphone. Tuko got pissed and he hit Kuya Erik in return. Kuya Erik then claims that his work has an advance technology installed to it. He then takes the remote from his pocket. He said that his work can be controlled by the remote he is holding. He then tries to prove again that his work can be controlled so he then asked the audience what the wood would do. After that he then gives the remote to one of the audience. It was funny because the work tried to kiss the one holding the remote. The one holding the remote was so scared that he even left the gym. That act was the funniest act Ive seen. After this act, I went homeward because its very late and its very hard to go home when its that time of the day.

But even if I didnt finish, I find myself satisfied for paying that much for the show. The shows worth watching. All in all, Even if I didnt finish the show, everything was funny. And I think everyone enjoyed the show. And thanks to the student council, this show became possible for us to enjoy.
