Board of Trustees Update: Our next Board Meeting is scheduled for next Thursday at 5.30. Anyone is welcome to attend. Applications for Board Membership will be coming up in the next few weeks. If you want to find out more about what we do, get in touch with Lynne O'Connor. Her number is on the family phone list. Teaching and Learning Review: A reminder to complete the school review if you have not already done so. The survey is online. A hard copy is also attached. Invitation from the Mexican Embassy: This evening Arabella, Constance, Ruby, Alex, Tommy and Petelo will represent NZ in the 201st Anniversary Ceremony for Mexican Independence Day. The ceremony will be held at Te Papa Marae. This is a formal occasion hosted by the Mexican Ambassador. We wish our students well in the role they will perform in presenting the Mexican flag to the Mexican Ambassador. School Photos: School photos take place on Tuesday 4th October. Order forms for individual and class photos go out with students today. If you would like a sibling photo, please collect these order forms from the office. All orders are due on Friday 30th September. We will be working with a new company L C Scott Ltd. Variety Concert/Talent Quest: The CTMS Talent Quest/Variety Show will be held at Cardinal McKeefry hall this year. Date: Thursday 6 October. All children are expected to attend as this is a full school performance. Arrival time: 6pm for a 6:30pm start. The children are getting very excited now that rehearsals are underway! Music for the Talent Quest: If your child requires music for their performance, could you prepare and load your childs music onto a separate CD and name the CD with your childs name. Please give your childs CDs to Katrina. Katrina will load all music onto her laptop for the Talent Quest evening. Interviews: Parent/Teacher/Student Interviews will be held on Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 September. Interview times will go our next Monday/Tuesday. Check your childs communication book for your interview time. Yummy Fruit Stickers: Yummy fruit stickers are due in at the end of September. Please bring in all your fruit stickers as soon as possible. The Yummy fruit stickers will earn us the opportunity to purchase sports equipment. T McCann Stickers: The McCann stickers are due in at the end of October. The McCann stickers will give us the opportunity to purchase a wheel barrow and gardening equipment. Ice cream Containers needed urgently: Please drop off in the art room. Donations: A reminder that term 3 donations are due. Kapa Haka Outfits: Many thanks to Gillian Owen for agreeing to sew up the schools Kapa Haka sashes and headbands ready for the childrens wonderful Kapa Haka performance at the variety show! CTMS T shirts: Please, please return any borrowed tops asap! Some children have missed out wearing them for an event as we were waiting on families to return them to school.
