vii. troubleshooting

using webster's new world dictionary and thesaurus's

text grabbing system

webster's new world dictionary and thesaurus uses

accent software international's text-grabbing system
to let you look up words from other programs by clicking
or pointing to them with your mouse. in the following instances,
the text-grabbing system may not capture text:

* you are already running another program using

accent's text-grabbing system, such as accent's
wordpoint.

* you are trying to select a menu item in any

windows 95 application.

* you are trying to select words in an application

that uses non-standard windows 95 functionality
for text display, such as wordperfect.
in these instances, you can still use webster's
new world dictionary and thesaurus by choosing
words manually in webster's new world dictionary
and thesaurus's main window.

using word 6

in this version of webster's new world dictionary

and thesaurus, if you are using the program
with word 6, the webster's new world dictionary
and thesaurus custom dictionary will not install.
