The issues in this lawsuit are concerned primarily with defamation of character, official and police malfeasance and misconduct, negligence, issuing false statements, and fraud.

I am making claim for damages in the amount of $20 million ($20,000,000)

In support of my suit, I point out that in an interview with both Channel 12 news, James McFarland stated that I had threatened to kill this president, with a headline stating that I had threatened to kill President Obama. From the wording in the context of the statement, it was apparent that I had to have made this threat after President
Obama was elected. The problem with this is that I have not seen James McFarland since approximately late August of 2006 when I left my residence as the result of losing a lawsuit filed by my brother. Since I have not seen him since that time, which was over two years before Obama was elected, I obviously could not have made
the statement. The statement follows:

12 News has learnedPatockthreatened to kill President Barack Obama% according to one ofPatock's
neighbors.

"He talked a lot about government, how hatedthispresident that was in here now, and how he'dliketo dispose ofhim, "Jimmy McFarland told 12 Newsreporter William Pitts.
When asked how Patock said he would do that, McFarland said, "He said he'd like to shoot him."

The newsmedia (especially William Pitts) made no attempt to reconcile this discrepancy which I mentioned
several times in court on November 5,2010 and November 17,2010, in response to the hearsay testimony that

was allowed into Superior Court records. The fact that the newspaper reporters and the news media made no attempt to interview anyone elseor to question Mister McFarland in enough detail to find out whether or not he was making a true statement. Thenews media andJames McFarland recklessly made false statements,
unsubstantiated claims, and ridiculous innuendos that defamed my character and destroyed my reputation.

In onestory, when the headline stated that I hadthreatened President Obama, the last paragraph mentioned that
it was unclear which president had been threatened or when the threat had been made.

They reported that I had graduated from theUniversity of Arizona but made no attempt to interview anyone at the University where I had been a student for many years. Their reckless, negligent, and unprofessional investigation and reporting of this obviously false statement resulted in my being incarcerated and tortured for forty-five days. Therefore they were guilty of defamation of character, negligence, and fraud as well is
violating my constitutional rights.
False statements were made by representatives of the United States Park Police and Representatives of the DC

District Attorney's Office. In addition, when it became apparent that certain statements and results made in the initial investigation were in fact false no one made the slightest attempt to correct the record or to make retractions. The result was a destructive synergybetween the Department of the Interior's Park Police, the District of Columbia's representatives and the news mediathat combineto completely destroy my reputation by recklessly and maliciously announcing and publishing false statements, incorrectinformation, unsubstantiated and unsupported personal opinions, innuendo, and information recklessly taken from the Internet.

One prominent example of this is the false claims that I have been arrested for shoplifting while showing videos
of storefronts such as Cosco where I was purportedly arrested. The truth of the matter is that I have not been in a Costco store for several decades and it will be completely impossible for the media or anyone else to provide documentary evidence that I was arrested there.

As my attorney pointed out in court, prior to this incident I had no criminal record and I have never been arrested for or convicted for shoplifting or any major crime. My only arrest was for a failure to appear warrant which was issued when I failed to attend a class as agreed with the District Attorney on a traffic issue. This was supported by the fact that when LauraWorms, the prosecutor on my case provided information on my "criminalrecord", it was actually information found on the Internet and not any reliable source. Not only was the information presented in court taken from the Internet but each of the eight individual citationwas listed three times, making it sound as if I had twenty-four different citations or criminal records when I had no criminal record. Despite my not havingany criminal record, a representative of the prosecutor's office told

reporters that I had eight "similar charges" implying that I had a record of some kind of terrorist activity. Therefore the prosecutor's office wascomplicit in the media's constantly defaming my character and the
destruction of my reputation.

As far as the Park police involvement in destroying my reputation, one of the most prominent items in headlines
and stories was the claim that there were wires connecting the propane tanks to four car batteries in the bed of the truck or somewhere on the trailer. This claim was made on the first day and continued for days afterwards

despite the fact that the investigating officers must have anquickly found that there were no such wires because
Officer Donald and other officers rewrote their official reports to remove mention of the wires. They were not

mentioned in the initial hearing on probable cause because they never existed. Whenthe Districtof Columbia

representatives and the Park Police found outthat there was no truth to the initial report, noattempt was made
to correct the story and my reputation continued to be destroyed by this false claim that I was a crazy person who had created a bomb out of propane tanks. Incidentally, the propane tanks were empty.

Since three members of the bomb squad investigated my trailerand truck, it must havebeenobvious to them (the official statement was that they found no bomb) that there were no wires connecting the propane tanks to the three (notfour) batteries that powered the trailer andthere were no "wires" connected to the generator. They must also have found that the propane tanks were empty. Since the bomb squad announced that there was no bomb, the members of the news media reporting on the issue had a moral, professional, and ethical obligation to question the discrepancy between the initial announcement that the propane tanks probably constituted a bomb and the later announcement that there were

no explosives. Therefore the police and the prosecutor's office and the news media failed in their professional
duty and as a result continued to destroy my reputation.

The news media therefore made no attempt to provide a fair and balanced picture of what was happening during
the initial hearings.

Forexample, when mysixth amendment rights were violated when thejudge allowed a statement allegedly made by James McFarland into evidence during the hearing on November 5,2010 without having the persons

who made the statement and reported it present in the courtroom for cross-examination, the media made no

attempt to report this violation of my constitutional rights. This is despite the fact that it was a clear violationof
legal precedents against hearsay testimony. The judge even admitted that it was hearsay testimony but allowed it into evidence and stated that he was giving it minimal consideration. No one in the news media made any
mention of it.

When I told Judge Motley in court that I was being attacked and other inmates were bombarding me with
human excrement, the media made no mention of it in the news.

The news media even included a ridiculous innuendo by Mister McFarland that my house was a wreck when I moved out. This is contradicted by the neighbor's interview that says nothing of the kind. Mrs. McFarland said that I walked around the house 'nakkid', implying by the tone of her statement that I did it all the time and was really weird. The reporter did not ask her how she knew that and since my house was in the middle of a one acre lot surrounded by screened porches and fenced in areas (something read the reporter must have known

because he had to have seen it), there is no way she could've seen inside from that distance. Incidentally, I don't walk around my house naked unless I'm getting ready to take a shower or change clothes. Despite the ridiculousness of the statement, a video of her saying it was published on the Internet by the news media.
False statements released by members of the Park police and the district attorney's office and other officials were recklessly and negligently announced and published with little regard for the entire truth. Only information that provided support for their initial reporting that I was some sort of mad bomber was allowed to be published. As a result of this reckless and negligent behavior by all the agencies and people involved my character was defamed and my reputation was completely destroyed.
