She translated the word and the students were required to repeat the word in English. The class continues with chorus reading of all the words that were written on the whiteboard. The pace is changed when the teacher asked her students to open up a textbook and look for a song in it. The song chosen is My Classroom using the melody of Oh My Darling Clementine. Whenever the students faced difficulties in pronouncing a word, the teacher slows down the tempo and students will repeat the line a few times. After a few repetitions along with reinforcement of praises, the class was required to stand up and sing in chorus. When singing in chorus is done, the class was divided into three groups. The groups then are required to sing in turns. After all the groups have sung, the song is sung in chorus again by the whole class. Before ending the singing session, the teacher asked for two volunteer to sing in front of the class. Two boys volunteered and sang in front followed by two girls. The teacher reminded the class that they will sing the song again by tomorrow and to practice it at home with their siblings. Towards the end of the class, task sheets were given by the teacher to the students. Students were required to re-write the words in the task sheet.
