Objectives
How would you differentiate the effect of the three trigger modes on the output waveform
as displayed in the screen?
Single - Screen refreshes evrytime it covers the whole range of the oscilloscope
Normal - The sreen follows the real-time wave pattern
Auto - It also follows the real-time wave pattern.
Position so that Cursor 1 coincides with a peak and Cursor2 with the next peak. This sets
up the measurement of the period.
Try increasing the value of the trigger level by increments of 1V. For each change in
trigger level, reset the simulation by turning off and on the power switch.
At what trigger level voltage will the display disappear? When the trigger level is 2volts
the display disappears because the peak voltage is already exceeded which is 1.5v
Given the output waveform, what range of trigger level voltage do you expect to see an
output display?
I would expect a level no greater than 1.5v trigger level voltage to be able to display the
output
Vce = 7.161V
Connect a multimeter in series with the R2 and the 12-volt supply and measure the
DC current.
Ic = 12.083mA
G = 15.58
Vi = 309.811V
Vo = 19.984V
G = Vo/Vi = 15.5V
Analysis and Conclusion
In our first experiment the students should have been able to familiarize
themselves using the Multisim. For our first exercise we were given a simple circuit for
us to see the usefulness of the multisim, then we were given an amplifier circuit for us to
create in the multisim. We were ask specific data’s about the circuit which I was able to
do so. After that we were also asked to design a non-inverting amplifier using LM324. I
was able to design my amplifier using the net for calculations that would be needed.
Overall the experiment was not that hard and was very straightforward all we needed was
to follow the instructions and guide questions. Being an ECE using the multisim is really
helpful.
