GOVERNMENT OF PUNJAB SCERT PUNJAB, CHANDIGARH PUNJAB STATE TEACHER ELIGILIBITY TEST (PSTET)-2011 PUBLIC NOTICE In accordance with

the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, 2009, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Government of India vide notification no.61-03/20/2010/NCTE/(N&S) dated 23.08.2010 has made passing Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) mandatory for the appointment of Teacher from class I to VIII in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act, 2009. The Department of School Education, Government of Punjab has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2011 to the SCERT, Punjab. Director SCERT Punjab, Chandigarh here by invites online applications from eligible candidate for appearing in Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2011. 1.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
i. A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010. ii. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.

The following persons shall be eligible for appearing in the PSTET - 2011.

2. STRUCTURE OF PSTET - 2011 There will be two papers of the TET. Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for class I to V. Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. A person who intends to be a teacher either for classes I to V or for classes VI to VIII will have to appear in both papers (Paper I and II).

Fee
(i) For General/OBC Candidates - Rs. 500/-per paper. (ii) For SC/ST candidates - Rs. 300/-per paper. (iii) For Ex-Servicemen Self only - Nil. Note: The candidate who intend to appear for both Papers I & II, the fee shall be Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC and Rs. 600/- for SC/ST candidates

Only online forms will be entertained, which is available at http://recruitment.cdacmohali.in. 3. The requisite fee (Non refundable) should reach positively by 18-5-2011.
