Every religion has its detractors and Mr. Guiders stories have come at a time when the Church is experiencing the greatest period of expansion in its history. Mr. Guider and his wife were volunteer members of the Churchs religious order until they left in 2009 to have a child and start a new life together. The Church assisted the Guiders transition to secular life by providing funds with which to help them set up their household. Mr. Guider had only the nicest things to say about the Church and his work in it at the time, even speaking in the Sydney Morning Herald, December 20th, 2008. Now Mr. Guider has changed his stripes, joining a small group of antiScientologists who feed stories to the tabloid press to generate controversy. They are a Posse of Lunatics and more information is available in a publication of the same name at www.freedommag.org/special-reports/sources. Mr. Guiders stories are denied. The first incident alleged is claimed to have occurred 21 years ago and is not the subject of any corroborating evidence yet has been the subject of sworn statements refuting it. It is a lie. The second is delusional and Mr. Guiders former wife, his supervisor and related staff all refute it in sworn statements. The Church of Scientology is always open to resolving any upsets. Mr. Guider has never once reached out to the Church and has refused all offers of assistance the Church has made to him. What Mr. Guider is complaining about is the dynamic growth of his former religion, which is unfortunate and uncalled for. Mr. Guider has been expelled for well over a year for violating the Church's ethical codes and is no longer a Scientologist and is not welcome inside any Church of Scientology and must be bitter as a result.

The Church of Scientology is enjoying a renaissance under the ecclesiastical leadership of Mr. Miscavige, for which he has the undying gratitude of thousands of staff and millions of parishioners. The Church of Scientology is true to the writings of its Founder, L. Ron Hubbard. It is known to be so by the Scientologists participating in the religion in the more than 9,000 Churches, Missions and affiliated groups spanning 165 countries. They enjoy the 25 new Ideal Churches of Scientology, including our new Church in Melbourne opened this January, all of them bursting with thousands of new members practicing their chosen faith. Anyone is welcome to experience the Churchs practices and see its humanitarian works firsthand: Scientologys global human rights initiative has educated millions on human rights; its Truth About Drugs crusade teaches millions how to live drug-free; and its global Volunteer Ministers disaster relief program has been hailed by the international community and Australian officials.
