12011 ACCREDITATION OF CHRISTIAN UNION FOR SOCIALIST AND DEMOCRATIC ADVANCEMENT RELATIVE TO 2012 GENERAL ELECTIONS Promulgated: 24 September 2011 WHEREAS, according to the 2010 Electoral Code Article II, Section 5, Subsection E stating that COMELEC will accept application for accreditation any time during the school year except for three (3) days before and after the elections. By elections being interpreted as the election period. WHEREAS, the applying party named Christian Union for Socialist and Democratic Advancement (hereinafter CRUSADA) submitted their documents for accreditation last September 8, 2011 and scheduled an interview with the COMELEC on September 13, 2011. WHEREAS, after submitting the required documents for accreditation, CRUSADA underwent the investigation, and interview initiated by the COMELEC. The following conclusions transpired: 1. The party has a clear and distinctdefinition of its mission, vision, goals, and its ideology. 2. The party has submitted all relevant and updated documents. 3. The party has a clear definition and delegation of stands amongst its executive board/board of directors. 4. The party has been able to issue political stands for or against Sanggunian and disseminating them to the Loyola Schools. WHEREAS, the status of accreditation will be given but when the party has an intent for reaccreditation for the Freshmen and Special Elections 2012, the following conditions should first be met: 1. The party should not be confined to its members and to the Sanggunian in exhibiting itself as an accredited and recognized student organization. 2. The party should be able to externalize its advocacy through projects or activities that involve the Loyola Schools Student Body, and not simply the partys members. 3. The party should be able to find other methods of expressing their agreement or contempt against issues, policies, and provisions created by Sanggunian and not only through issuing resolutions. NOW THEREFORE, pursuant to the powers vested in it by the 2005 Constitution of the Undergraduate Students of the Ateneo de Manila and the Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila Electoral Code ratified on January 11, 2010, the Ateneo Commission on Elections RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to promulgate the accreditation of CRUSADA and its participation in the 2012 Sanggunian General Elections.
