Scene 1

Malin wants to sail overseas

Narrator : Long, long, long time ago. In Minangkabau, lived a poor woman with her two children. The boy was called Malin Kundang and his younger sister called Milan Kandung. They always helped their mother to earn some money. One day, Malin talked seriously to his mom about his decision to sail overseas. (The set shows the real life of them, in a little house) Malin Mother Milan Malin Mother Malin Mother Malin Mother Malin Mother Malin Milan Malin Scene 2 : Mom, I wanna sail overseas. : What? (stand up) : What did you say, brother?! : If I stay here, well always be poor! : No! I dont wanna let you go! (sit down, start crying) : Cmon mom, I want to be a successful person. : No Malin! No no no! Im not ready to be left again, after your father left me some years ago. : I dont care about that. This is my choice, my way, my life. : Youll never be a successful person! No no no! Never ever! : No no no! I promise Ill be success when I go home. : Okay okay, if you really want to sail overseas, jika itu pilihan waang, paila. : Thank you mom, I promise (little finger promise). Narrator : In the Nowhere Land, Malins life was not as success as envisaged. He lived as a beggar who expects a penny from anyone. One time, he met Manorara, a wealthy beautiful woman. (Malin sit down in a road, Manorara walked in front of him and make him fascinated) Malin : Give me a penny, mam. Im hungry and thirsty. Manorara : Umm.. I dont have any little money. But.. this if for you (give a cell-phone number) Narrator : Malin was curious why the woman give him her phone number.

Scene 3

Malin and Manorara as a Spouse

Narrator : Day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year. Malin fell in love with Manorara. They established a relationship. They were engaged, wed, and one that the world has to know is now they have a baby. Manorara : Finally we got a baby honey!! Malin : Yeah, Ive been waiting for this moment.

Manorara : Haha. By the way, I never met your mother, honey. Wheres she? Malin : Umm.. She is in Minangkabau.

Manorara : What did you say? Malin : Ah no no no! She has passed away long time ago.

Manorara : Uh, sorry to hear that. I think shes still alive. Malin : Its okay, honey.

Malin wants to sail overseas to do a project

Narrator : After the dialogue about Malins mother, Malin who is now a famous contractor in Nowhere Land got a big project to build a hotel in Majapahit Kingdom. He decided to sail overseas to Majapahit. He wants his guards to prepare the ship. Malin Guard Oscar Malin Faris Malin Oscar Malin Faris Malin : Guards! : Yes sir! : What service do you need? : Prepare ship for me! : What for, sir? : Im gonna sail overseas. : Wheres our destination? : To Majapahit. I want to do a big project. : What kind of project, sir? : Its not your business! My business, my way, my life.

(The guards dont go anywhere) Malin : Dont just stand there! Move!

Scene 5

On the way to Majapahit

Narrator : They were on the way to Majapahit. Malin was accompanied by Manorara, his wife, because they also planned a vacation trip to Bali Island after doing the project. Manorara starts a chat with Malin about their destination, she didnt know it yet. Manorara : Honey, where we are going to go? Malin : Umm.. Its a secret, honey. I cant to tell you.

Manorara : Owh, you are so romantic. This will be my best vacation ever. Malin : I just want to make you happy.

(suddenly the guards come) Guards Malin Faris Oscar Malin : Sir! Sir! : Whats happened? : Our ship fuel is running low! : Thats right sir, and we have to be anchored to the nearest shore asap! : Okay. Prepare the best for that!

Scene 6 Anchored in Minangkabau Narrator : Unexpectedly, they were anchored to the shore of Minangkabau, Malins hometown. Malins mother was there. Yes, she came to the beach with her daughter everyday, to see whether Malin, his son has came back. Mother Milan Mother Milan : Ive been waiting you so long, Malin (crying) : Stop crying, mom. We must always be strong, with or without Malin. : You dont know how my feeling is. This has happened to me twice. : Yes, I know that mom. Im trying to call him, but his phone is never actived.

(Malin, his wife, and his guards came) Mother : But, wait, who are them? Dont you see someone there? Is that Malin, my son? Malin?! Milan : Its impossible, mom. Malin will not be as success as someone there.

Mother

: Im sure that he is Malin, my son! (run to Malin) Malin! Malin! You are back!

Malin Mother

: Huh?! Who are you? I never met you. : Malin, you are my son! Im sure that you are Malin, my son!

Manorara : Your son? Are you his mother? Malin Mother Malin Mother Milan : No, mano! Dont trust this poor old woman. My mother has passed away long time ago. : Malin!! You dont recognize me? Im yolur mother! : Guards, take this old woman out of here. Lets back to the ship, Mano. : Malin my son. Why do you treat me like this? : He is not Malin, mom

(the guards prevented her mother to reach Malin) Malin Mother : Stop it, guards. I want to talk with her. Haha, do you think that Im your son?! How stupid you are! Im rich, and my mother is too. HAHAHAHA : Dear God, if he isnt my son, please let him have a safe journey. But if he is, I curse him to become a stone. (Malin became a stone in the laughing pose)

Manorara : Malin! Hey Malin! So, you are his mother? Malin, you lied to me! I dont want have a husband like you. (go with Malins guards) (the set shows Malin who is now a laughing stone, and his mother and sister.) Narrator : Malin has been disobedient to his mother. Yes, he kept his promise to be success when he went home. He was punished for not admitting his own mother. And his mother and sister live sadly ever after. The end.
