LEARN IT!

The Biblical Path for Lasting Change

Romans 6:17 reads, But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. It is not a theory, technique, or philosophy that changes a person; it is God and God alone. The recipe for change mentioned in Romans 6:17 began with doctrine being taught, then it went to the heart, and the result was obedience. Doctrine refers to teaching the mind or intellect. Heart refers to the emotions and feelings. Obeyed refers to the will of a person.

New Testament Baptist Church offers many Bible preaching and teaching opportunities for people to learn the Word of God. Our church also encourages people to develop a walk with Goddaily prayer & Bible study. This brings the emotions and joy to the Christian life. We welcome heart-felt singing and hearty Amens. People are challenged to live the Christian life by doing a work for God and investing in the lives of others. It all starts with your head, moves to your heart, and reveals itself in your hands!

Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.

We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23). We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned. We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9). Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour (Romans 5:8; John 3:16). Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as Gods children (Romans 10:9, 13).

Getting the Out of Church - Part Four It is important that people get the most out of church services, if they are going to take the time to attend the services. One of the ways that people can get more out of the services on Sunday is to sit in the front half of the auditorium (No extra charge for these seats). By sitting close to the front, it eliminates many distractions while also allowing you to see and hear better. When attending church, participate in the services. Use the hymnal and sing. Give when the offering plate is passed. Use your Bible and take notes.

In the spirit of worship and as an act of courtesy, please do NOT bring food, soft drinks, or bottled water into the Auditorium. Cellular devices should be turned off or placed in vibrate mode.
