ABSTRACT

Generally , studying the English Language is considered as a difficult task for student who do not originated from an English speaking background. This survey is conducted to find the efficiency of watching and listening to English Language programmes in improving English Language proficiency among Form 6 students. This survey comprises 3 different elements. This research is carried out with the intention of putting their queries and doubts into another perspective that will ultimately seek to find the relevance of watching and listening to English Language programmes in improving their pronunciation, vocabulary acquisition and grammar ability. Forty-three pre-U students are required to respond to a 15-item survey form. The survey form is set in 3 parts after which all the forms are collected and analysed manually.The results are put in percentage form. The research provides rewarding answers and indeed support the relevance of watching and listening to English language programmes in improving English Language acquisition.
