Original Bill of Lading / AWB or Copy of Telex Release. Inventory Signed by Shipper * Full Contact Information. Full Employment Information. Clear Copy of Passport (Face Page).

Customs Prescriptions
Duty Free if removal goods consist of used household effects which have been in the possession abroad for at least one year and which will keep on being used by the owner in the new residence.

Remarks
Owner does not need to be present for clearance. It is recommended that the owner be present upon the shipments arrival in case further Customs inspections are required. Foreign Shipments: The household goods should not arrive prior to owners arrival.

New household goods

Sales invoice showing item, price, date of purchase and place of purchase.

Jewellery Motor vehicles Title or Release from Lien Holder. Current Registration. Letter of Compliance from manufacturer stating that vehicle meets U.S. emission and D.O.T. standards. Copy of passport (face page). Not subject to above emission rules. Descriptive inventory.

If owner cannot prove that purchase was made at least 90 days prior to import, goods are subject to various rates of duty. Silverware and Ornaments are duty free when imported as normal household goods. If owner cannot prove that purchase was made at least 90 days prior to import, auto is subject to duty / tax at 4.5% of value of vehicle + cost of ocean freight.

Jewellery must not be included with household goods by should accompany owner on arrival. Autos not meeting U.S. emission requirements should not be considered for import and will be shipped back at the owners expense. , Autos without proper, requirements should be loaded separately so that they do not ~ delay the clearance of removals.

An individual 18 Years and older cannot bring in more than one (1) gallon (3.8 litres) of alcoholic beverages as an exemption or as a gift. Any amount of alcohol in excess of the exemption shall be seized and Destroyed. Guam Law allows persons to import up to 4 legally authorized firearms and 1,000 rounds of ammunition for their own use. Narcotics listed under the Schedule I, II and III of the Controlled Substance Act are generally prohibited entry.

Customs Prescriptions
Plants and meat or meat by-products are Prohibited. All pets are subject to quarantine period. Birds may only enter Guam if only from the Continental U.S. or Hawaii. Birds from foreign countries must first be quarantined at a USDA quarantine facility. Note: There are no facilities on Guam.
