The Middle School youth program is for 5th - 8th graders. Our purpose is to ignite a passion in our youth for Christ and the Community. We will meet each Sunday evening from 5:3010th - 7:00 except for special events. We are creating October 9th an @ oil belt camp. Strangeatmosphere where our youth can feel free to invite See page and be themselves. In an atmosphere of fun we will friends 4 for info and permission slip. teach them what the Bible says about relevant issues and October 16th how they can have an impact in their school and family.

October 23rd COLLIDE Kinmundy Christian Church Revival featuring Christian Rock Band ELSIE. 6:30 - 8:30 October 30th Preacher appreciation meal No Youth group, but the youth and their families are invited to eat and show appreciation for our preacher.

November 6th - 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. November 11th - 12th 4th - 6th graders only Superstart see page 5 - 6 for info. November 13th - Family Movie night. All families are invited for a night of popcorn and a Movie. November 20th - 5:30 - 7:00

December 4th - Holiday meal at the church all families are invited. December 9th - Mercy Me concert in Effingham. Tickets are $34.00 dollars. Sign-up and money due by October 23rd. December 11th - 5:30 - 7:00 December 18th - 5:30 - 7:00 December 25th - Christmas no Youth meetings. December 29 - 31 - Winter Extreme conference in Gatlinburg, Tn. see pages 7 8

MISSING THE MARK

On October 2nd we will be leaving the church at 4:00 p.m. to go to Scott and Linda Summervilles house. We will be target shooting with 22 Rifles. I have several adult supervisors going to make sure that their are no safety issues. We are doing this to talk about sin The word for sin in the New Testament means To Miss the Mark. Attatched is a permission slip for parents to sign if their child is allowed to shoot the rifle. Only those that have a signed permission slip will be allowed to handle a gun. Even if you do not want your child to handle a gun this will still be night that they will enjoy. Please send them even if you do not want them handling a gun. We will have a 2 student to 1 Adult ratio and only 1 gun at a time.

This is for all middle school students. The cost is $25.00 dollars. We will leave the church Sunday at 5:00 p.m. and return Monday at 12:00 p.m. There is no school that monday. I will be sending in the registration on Friday, September 30th. If you want a

by that day. You can still go after that, but no shirt.

We will leave right after school on Friday. We are going to be staying at the Best Western Hotel. We have some free time on Saturday my plan is to tour the Louisville Slugger museum. This Event is for 7th and 8th graders only. A 3 day event in Gatlinburg, Tn. Cost: $125 dollars plus money for meals. 3 days of concerts and great speakers to bring our 7th and 8th graders closer to God and each other. We will be leaving at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29th. We will return at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday December 31st. Registration and $75.00 deposit is due by October 14th.

While we want your young people to have fun, and grow in their relationship with Jesus and others, we will strive to create an environment that is safe for your student. Safety on every trip will be thought out and planned for. As a part of the Kinmundy Christian Church we not only want to minister to your student, we want to minister to your entire family. Feel free to contact Josh, Ryan, or Vicki anytime. If you have any questions or concerns about the student ministry, or your own spiritual walk. We realize that youth events can get costly to families. We do not want cost to interfere with your child attending any of the events that we do. If you need financial help to allow your child to attend any of the events that are planned fell free to contact Josh or Vicki. Do not let money keep your child from participating.
