What is Kidney Failure?
Kidney failure is a condition in which the kidneys stop working and are not able to remove waste and extra water from the blood or keep body chemicals in balance. Kidneys are unable to perform selective reabsorbtion or ultrafiltration and fail to produce urine.

What causes Kidney Failure?

Kidney failure may develop suddenly or over a period of time, and although you may become very sick, kidney failure is treatable and you may recover with partial or complete kidney function. The causes of kidney failure include infections, injuries or loss of blood supply to the kidneys. Consider this information from the Mayo Clinic about the causes of kidney failure in humans. Heart Failure Chronic circulatory problems, including heart failure, may decrease the supply of blood to your kidneys and result in kidney failure. Dehydration Dehydration may cause kidney failure by lowering your blood pressure and decreasing the amount of blood available to your kidneys. Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome Hemolytic uremic syndrome is a complication from infections with Escheria coli bacteria and cause kidney failure by

severely reducing blood supply in the kidneys. Infections Bacterial and viral infections such as hepatitis A, B or C; strep throat; and urinary tract infections may cause sudden inflammation of your kidneys and result in kidney failure. Chronic Diseases Chronic diseases such as diabetes, lupus and Berger's disease may cause inflammation of the kidneys that results in acute kidney failure. Medications Medications including aspirin, ibuprofen, streptomycin, chemotherapy drugs and radioactive dyes used for medical diagnostics may cause kidney damage that leads to kidney failure. Poisoning Poisoning from heavy metals; manufacturing chemicals and solvents; and drugs such as cocaine and alcohol injure the kidneys especially if exposure is prolonged or heavy.

In addition to this sudden accidents or injuries which result in great loss of blood ,hence decreasing the volume and pressure of blood in body may also become a cause of Kidney Failure

How does kidney failure harms the body?

Kidney failure affects the body in many ways: The kidneys need to function properly, without them doing so the body cannot detoxify itself and will die. Any disease that attacks the Kidney will impede life on some level. The kidneys also maintain the body temprature and keeps the water potential in the blood constant, when the kidneys fail to work the water potential in the blood and the body temprature rises which results that water present in body cells moves out into blood capillaries due to osmosis and the blood becomes even more dilute. The rise in temprature results in fever and all this will lead to eventual death but this can be prevented if promt medical treatment is given such as the patient can be treated

with dialysis or kidney machine
