y name is Sarah Waldrop and I currently live in Seoul, South Korea and attend Yongsan International School of Seoul. One day I aspire to become a nurse practitioner in a challenging and enriching medical environment with the hope of offering healing and help to those sick, and in need. Hopefully someday I will attain my goal through the following career plan.

As I graduate from high school soon, I hope to attend a small, Christian university with a major in nursing and a minor in missions, so that someday I can become a medical missionary and bring medical care to more impoverished countries. The school will be small and have a well reputed and solid nursing program so that I can get the most out of my time there.

First Job Experiences

I want to have first hand experience working in hospitals and clinics, gaining knowledge of the medical field and particularly the field of nursing. Then I want to be looking for jobs with more responsibility and hands on work, such as different sections of a hospital, giving me a greater opportunity to help and care as I learn and apply what I'm learning. I think it's really important that I have that hands on experience working beside doctors and other nurses, as it will give me the tangible knowledge about what is done in a medical environment rather than just the book knowledge learned in a classroom.

After I have achieved my goal of becoming a nurse practitioner and am an adult, I hope to be fulltime on the mission field working with people who desperately need medical care, though are sometimes too poor to afford it. I think it would be an incredible way to see God working among those less privileged than myself and be able to share some of God's love to those who might not know of him. Working especially in the medical field I think will be a great way to share a tangible image of who God is.

As I grow and gain experience in the field of nursing, I hope to begin to incorporate it more and more in with the mission field.
