We gather with Christian brothers and sisters all over the world around the Lords Table. Moravians practice open communion. All who profess Christ as Lord and Saviour are invited to partake. The minister will serve the elements to you in the pew. After worship we will hold our Annual Church Council. There will be no Sunday School except for the Moravian Lambs and Bible Explorers Classes. Adult Fellowship will meet this Wednesday at 12 noon for a covered dish lunch. Next Sunday is Prayer Day for World Missions. Charles Sapp will be our guest speaker. He recently served several months in Sierra Leone. Adult Fellowship will take a day trip to Ashe County on Wednesday, October 12, leaving the church at 9 a.m. We will eat lunch at Shatley Springs, go to the cheese factory, and tour the frescos. A sign-up sheet is on the blue bulletin board. Walkers are still needed for CROP Walk on Sunday, October 16. See Georganne Reid. A love offering for CROP Walk will be taken next Sunday, October 9. Please buy a square foot ($250) for the building campaign! 15 have been bought so far. Thanks for your generous support! Our secretary, Angie May, will be leaving her position in two weeks to take a full-time job. We thank her for her year and a half of service as secretary. Any interested applicants should contact the church office.
