Plans for the workshop

(1)To cover presentation skills on developing and organizing


a speech, vocal variety, gestures and body language,
choosing the right words and using visual aids.
(2)To provide tips on Do’s and Don’ts for effective
communication.
(3)To provide hand-on practice on each presentation skill
topic for each participant.
(4)To provide plenty of feedback and encouragement to each
student's presentation.
(5)To provide hand-on practice on evaluating a speech.
(6)To provide candies, homemade brownies and more during
the workshop.
(7)To award a certificate for each participant completed the
program.
(8) To start and end the program on time.

Get-acquainted Exercise (25 minutes)
• Assign 2 persons per team (Person A and Person B)
• Provide paper and pen
• Interview your partner and write down (total of 4 minutes. 2 minutes for each interview)

3. What is his/her favorite hobby?
4. What is one thing that she wants to learn in the presentation workshop?
• Each person to introduce his/her partner (Total of 20 minutes. 1 minute each)

For each Presentation Skills Topic, divide into 4-5 persons per team to form 4-5 groups

1. Explain the buzz session rules (1 minute)
2. Assign a topic for each team
3. Conduct the buzz session (5 minutes)
4. Recorder of each team to present their topic (Total of 10 minutes. 1-2 minutes for each recorder
and positive feedback from facilitators)

Professionalism and good impression


Apply Your skills (30 minutes)
1. Provide many suggested topics
2. Each student picks a topic of his/her choice
3. Organize the thought and write down the speech outline (2 minutes)
4. Apply your skills to a speech and present it to the class (Total of 48 minutes. 1-2 minutes for
each student and 0.5 minute for feedback)
5. Closing
• Each student tells one presentation skill that he/she has learned from the workshop.
• Present certificate of complete to students.
