Pore Pressure Analysis

Pore pressure problems are the source of many common and expensive drilling challenges, from lost circulation and kicks, to loss of the well through inadequate casing design. With Drillworks Predict software, you can reliably forecast pore pressures to improve performance and avoid problems at all stages of the drilling cycle: Pre-drill analysis optimizes mud weights and casing setting depths Real-time analysis reduces uncertainty while drilling Post-drill analysis improves planning and drilling performance in future wells

Pre-Drill Analysis

Predict allows the user to quickly and more accurately create a pre-drill geopressure prognosis to optimize mud and casing programs.

Drillworks Predict software helps you understand the subsurface environment in order to reduce uncertainty and optimize wellbore design. Greater accuracy in casing and fluid system design improves wellbore feasibility and cost forecasting, as well as safety and performance. The industrys most dependable prediction of pore pressures is calculated using an operator-endorsed process established by the Drilling Engineering Associations joint industry project DEA 119. This process is supported by specialized features that use industry-standard or user-defined methods to calculate: Overburden from seismic, density or sonic data Effective stress from resistivity, sonic and seismic velocity Pore pressure from effective stress

Real-Time Analysis
Real-time analysis using MWD/LWD data acquired via WITS or WITSMLTM standards allows foot-by-foot computations of wellbore stresses and collapse strengths. These computations are developed in concert with specialty software available in the Drillworks software suites (including Presage, ConnectML and Geostress applications) as well as third-party data. The WITSML data standard eliminates dependency on proprietary data protocols, allowing Drillworks software users to work with any combination of offset well data (including MWD/LWD, RFT and LOT) and/or seismic data from any WITSML-compliant service company.

Post-Drill Analysis
Drillworks Predict software is a robust tool for post-drill analysis that improves future drilling performance. Well data from a wide range of sources can be easily accessed and displayed in customizable views. Engineers and geoscientists can perform and compare analyses using the latest industry methods as well as proprietary, user-defined methods and programs.
