Death Mask .. 5 pts Some Blood Angel heroes wear symbolic Death Masks in memory of the sacrifice of Sanguinius. In combat these individuals fight with a grim madness that terrifies their foes. Any enemy unit that loses a close combat against a model wearing a Death Mask suffers a -1 modifier to its Leadership for the possible subsequent Break test. Exsanguinator .. 10 pts The exchange of blood is important in many Blood Angels rituals, which are presided over by the Sanguinary High Priests. In battle, the Priests use an Exsanguinator to transfer their blood to the injured, imbuing their battle-brothers with the endurance of Sanguinius. A model with an Exsanguinator allows the squad he is in to ignore the first suffered Wound within 4 of the Sanguinary Priest each turn. In addition, the Sanguinary Priest can try to save a grievously wounded brethren with his own life fluid in attempt to negate the second and subsequent Wounds. To do so, roll a D6 for each of the remaining Wounds. If the score is equal to or less than the Sanguinary Priests Toughness, the suffered Wound is ignored. An Exsanguinator cannot negate Wounds from attacks that cause instant death (Vortex grenades, psychic attacks, etc) and it cannot be used if the Priest is in contact with an enemy. (Sanguinary High Priest only) Grail .. 15 pts A Sanguinary High Priest, standard bearer or Blood Angels Chaplain may carry a chalice or Grail into battle with him. These items are used during Blood Angels holy ceremonies and are an inspiring symbol to the battle brethren of the Chapter, lending resolve against all odds. Any unit with a model within 6 of the Grail may reroll a single D6 dice of any failed Leadership based test once per game. This can be done regardless of the Leadership source and in addition of any Leadership bonuses or other Leadership rerolls (army commander, battle standard, etc). The Grail should be modelled visibly on the model. (Sanguinary High Priest, standard bearer or Chaplain only) Holy Shroud .. 10 pts The Sepulchre of Heroes in Blood Angels fortress-monastery houses the tombs of many great warriors from the Blood Angels Chapters glorious past; each swathed in a highly decorated shroud depicting their victories. In battle the shrouds are carried proudly aloft like banners, installing the Blood Angels unit with a model within 6 of a Holy Shroud will ignore any negative modifiers to their Leadership when taking Break, Fear or Terror tests (eg. penalties for killed squad leader or halved unit strength, etc).
