Engaging the Home in the Season of TFM/Representation

Introduction
The organization of the life in the home around the law of God has always been Gods spiritual design for the family within the context of the community. Deu 6:6-9 "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. The picture being communicated here is the creation of a saturating environment in which all core elements of family life are streamlined to focus upon and emphasize the word of the Lord. The pickling effect of such an organization of the home is designed to produce progressive transformation of all members over time.

Design Considerations
Several considerations went into the determination of this structure. 1. The first is the need to build an engagement structure for the home that is consistent with the one designed for the KCN Global Rollout and Engagement Structure. This helps to maintain alignment and pace with movement of the entire Congress down to Spring of 2012. 2. The second is to design an engagement structure that is flexible and adaptable to the fluidity and unpredictability of the demands of family life. In this way we cater for the unique life-rhythm of the household and anticipate the need to work around personal demands, work schedules, family life etc. 3. The third is the need to treat the engagement with TFM/Representation as a seamless extension of Gods dealings and journey of the family. In other words, the corporate movement in this season is designed by the Lord to bring the family to its ordained place of maturity to which He was always leading its members. Therefore new, in-depth consideration of the familys tailor-made processes leading up to this season is just as critical as considering the generic principles/processes that are designed to move the entire Congress forward. The structure treats both as one movement in God.

The Engagement Structure

The engagement structure is structured according to the requirements to

Listen, Review

and

Customize.

These three areas will constitute three distinct streams of interaction in the home

around the doctrine of the season for one week.

Listen A 30 minute listening will take place each week. All interactions for the week will be based around this one 30 minute listening. This length of listening time is calibrated for ease of fit into fluctuating time schedules, energy levels etc. making it easier to maintain consistency in the engagement process. The teachings also are dense enough to make 30 minutes of listening appropriate for deep consideration. If more time can be allocated to listening this is fine but care should be taken to ensure that family treatment of the doctrine does not move faster (or much slower) than the pace of the community. During the listening all family members will make their own personal notes with an emphasis on secondary illumination (the record of the word of the Lord as it bounces off the heart and spirit of each family member). The collation of these perspectives should be strategic for the head of the household in distilling family-wide emphases and understanding the individual processes of each family member. After the listening, an initial interaction will be held over the content of the session and the impact created. This will constitute the point of focused consideration for each family member until the next constituted family gathering around the session for that week. Please note: Issues that emerge dynamically at any point in the engagement process can and should inform prayer both personal and family in order to continuously inject Spirit-birthed momentum. Identifying these moments would be the primary responsibility of the head of the home. Review The second constituted family gathering for that week will be designed as a general review of the principles/concepts/key scriptures of the 30 minute listening. Emphasis here will be on ensuring that the message is clearly and accurately understood and its implications for the family, community and wider Congress considered. Care must be taken that the family does not only consume the resource entirely on clarifying its own individual journey. Keeping sight of the corporate movement and the singular standard of the Congress being built by all families across the earth, is critical for producing the amount of spiritual understanding within the Congress required to transact with God at the Plain of Confluence. Families must arrive not only understanding their journey but understanding their journey as a part that fits into the wider corporate journey of the Congress. Family prayer over the spiritual understanding and embedding processes within the home, other families and the entire Congress should be engaged in. Over time this will build up a significant amount of spiritual and heart investment in the corporate journey. This in turn is expected to create an increasing sense of personal responsibility to guard and maintain the integrity of the corporate movement through sustained personal adherence to the doctrine-based lifestyle.

Customization This is the critical aspect of the engagement structure. During this third family gathering, the discussions and considerations of the first two family interactions are synthesized with the wider movements of God around the family. An example of what some of these wider considerations might be are: past prophetic words to family members; discussion about the family journey to this point; spiritual values and lessons learnt; the trajectory of family development up until that point etc. The TFM/Representation engagement should not be viewed as an interruption of Gods dealing with the family but as a seamless continuation of it. This perspective allows for the family to customize what their final maturity should look like as they engage with the word of the Lord for the season. This phase should develop a sense of the proximity of and partnership with the Lord within the family and elucidate both the past and future evolutionary pathway of the household. This would in turn lead to a clear sight and apprehension of family culture, identity and values that are required to be built specifically for the unit. This will by implication disbar certain behaviors, attitudes, perspectives etc. and produce enhanced governability and governance within the household.
