Merrill Lynch, Jacksonville, FL, 09/2006 – Current, Senior Consultant

Responsibility involves the software life cycle development in CMMI-5 level environment.

Special Projects and Achievements:

• TWINS Enhancements
The project involves the enhancement of TWINS application, for the RLS To-Do List and RLS Capture
and Store Email initiatives. TWINS is one application encompassing the needs of multiple departments for
tracking requirements along with the added enhanced ability to manage workflow, and access Imaging and
network data in one system.
o Development: C++, MFC and SQL

• TWINS 2.0
The project involves the design & development of TWINS 2.0. TWINS 2.0 is one application
encompassing the needs of multiple departments for tracking requirements along with the added enhanced
ability to manage workflow, and access Imaging and network data in one system.
o Development: C#.NET, ADO.NET

Duos Technologies, Jacksonville, FL, 01/2006 – 07/2006, Senior Member of R&D

Responsibility involves the design and development of artificial intelligence for any new technologies released by
the company.

Special Projects and Achievements:

• Detection of human in motion via thermal camera (Patent Pending)

Project involves the detection of human located on the fast moving object (i.e. trains, cars). The developed
algorithm is the artificial intelligence of TRiDS (Train Rider Detection System), software trademarked by
DUOS Technologies.
o Techniques: Support vector machines and advanced ray casting
o Development: C++ and OpenCV

• Design and development of an Artificial Intelligence of a video surveillance system (Patent Pending)
Project involves the utilization of computer vision technology for the detection of specific conventional
and unconventional events especially for outdoor surveillance. The two key elements for this video
surveillance system are the following: firstly, the real time processing of the video frames to give out
specific alarms for each associated event, and ability to keep the sensitivity and specificity high while
minimizing the memory and CPU usage. The developed algorithm is the artificial intelligence of
PRAESIDIUM, software trademarked by DUOS Technologies.
o Techniques: Motion field estimation and foreground extraction approaches
o Development: C++ and OpenCV

• Table detection and processing

Project involves the table detection within a mosaic created from multiple images of a scene. Based on the
mosaic, the program detects tables that contain specified texts relevant for reporting and compliance. The
information can be presented in any manner decided by the user.
o Techniques: Rapid and rigid registration approaches and string similarity metrics
o Development: C++ and OpenCV
