Inexpensive Travel by Public Transportation

This document lists routes that may be taken by public bus between the University of Washington in Seattle, WA and Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA. It can be modified easily to transport ones self from anywhere in King or Snohomish County as far North as the Canadian Border, at which time there may be other transportation available to take one farther into Canada. This can be accomplished by travel on the King County Metro Transit, Sound Transit, Skagit Transit, and Whatcom Transit agencies. Schedules change, so refer to the websites for these agencies for the most up-to-date information. Also, there are other possible trips at different times availablenot all possibilities are listed. Refer to route schedules for more current information. The route between UW and Everett Station is highly variable upon time of day and the exact location one is leaving UW from, so check King County Metro Transits trip planner for better routes if going at a different time. Note that some of these routes only run Monday Friday, which may force one making a weekend trip to leave on Friday evening and return very early on Monday morning. Alternate transportation can be provided by Amtrak or Greyhound at a higher cost.
