The IMSS may determine that the worker is temporarily unable to work and will issue the
corresponding certificate of disability. This is in accordance with Article 138 of the IMSS Medical
Benefits Regulations (RPMI). The certificate of temporary disability may be: initial, subsequent,
relapse or liaison, these being understood in accordance with Article 140 of the RPMI:

- Initial. This is the document issued by the physician to the insured on the date on which it
is first determined that the insured's illness temporarily incapacitates him/her for work;

- Subsequent. It is the document subsequent to the initial certificate, which the physician
issues to the insured because he/she continues to be incapacitated by the same condition;

- Relapse. It is the certificate of disability issued to an insured who is temporarily unable to

perform his job after having been discharged due to an occupational hazard, and who requires
medical or surgical attention, rehabilitation or an increase in his permanent partial disability due
to the sequels of the occupational hazard suffered, and

- Link. This certificate is issued when the period prior to childbirth exceeds 42 days, to cover
excess days as a continuation of incapacity due to general illness, for renewable periods, from
one to a maximum of seven days.

The treating physician or stomatologist of the Institute, when issuing the initial certificate of
disability, will determine the probable number of days for the recovery of the insured person's
illness, considering the natural history of the illness, its severity, the type of treatment used, age,
comorbidity and, unavoidably, the job he/she performs.

The certificate of incapacity shall be issued considering calendar days and may be issued by the
physician assigned to the emergency services, in which case the incapacity may be issued for
one to three days, the stomatologist may issue incapacity for up to 7 days, and the family or
non-family physician may issue incapacity for one to 28 days (Article 141 of the RPMI).The
stomatologist may issue incapacity certificates for up to 7 days, and the family or non-family
physician may issue incapacity certificates for one to 28 days (Article 141 of the RPMI). If the
period prior to childbirth exceeds 42 days, general sick leave certificates will be issued for
renewable periods of one to a maximum of seven days.

In the event that certificates of temporary disability due to occupational hazards are issued and
the condition exhausts the 52-week term, permanent disability or discharge from work must be
ordered.

In the case of maternity incapacity, a prenatal incapacity will be issued for 42 calendar days prior
to the probable date of delivery. Postnatal incapacity will invariably be issued for 42 calendar
days following delivery, even if the delivery occurs during the period of prenatal incapacity.

IMSS disability benefits

When an employee is temporarily unable to work due to an illness or accident, either directly
caused by the performance of his/her work or for a different reason, or during the periods before
and after childbirth in the case of insured female workers, the doctor of the Mexican Social
Security Institute (IMSS) will issue a certificate of incapacity, which is the legal medical
document issued to an insured person to justify the absence from work when he/she is
temporarily unable to work due to an accident or illness. This is the legal medical document
issued to an insured person to justify the absence from work when he/she is temporarily
incapacitated, in addition to serving as a means of collecting the corresponding subsidy if
applicable.

Types of subsidies:

Occupational risks: when the insured suffers an accident or illness in the course of or in
connection with his work, or an accident while traveling directly from his home to his place of
work or vice versa, if deemed necessary, the IMSS doctor will issue a certificate of temporary
incapacity for work. In order to determine that the disability corresponds to an occupational
hazard, the insured or, if applicable, the family members, must request the form called "Notice of
Initial Medical Attention and Rating of Probable Occupational Accident" (ST-7). The insured or
his family members must take this form to the company, in order to fill it out, reporting the
circumstances or reasons that originated the accident.

Once the form has been filled out by the company, the insured or his family members must
submit it to the Occupational Health Service of the corresponding Medical Unit. Until the form is
duly completed and submitted to the IMSS, the disability will be considered as "Probable
Occupational Risk" and the employee will not be entitled to the payment of the subsidy due to
lack of documents. Based on the information contained in the form, the IMSS physician will
classify the accident or illness as "Yes, occupational" or "No, occupational". In the event that the
disability is classified as "No, from work", the disability will be classified as a General Illness, and

you will be entitled to the payment of subsidies as long as you comply with the weeks of
contribution established in the Social Security Law.

Amount of the occupational risk subsidy.

If the accident or illness is classified as "occupational", the IMSS will pay a subsidy in lieu of
salary, equivalent to 100% of the salary registered with the IMSS at the time the risk was
suffered.

The payment of the subsidy can be extended for up to 52 weeks, subject to the prescription of
incapacities by IMSS doctors.

Requirements to enjoy the benefit of the occupational risk subsidy.

It does not require a minimum number of weeks of contributions, and is paid from the first day of
temporary disability.

Prescription of the right to receive the subsidy

The insured will have a maximum period of two years to claim his benefit, starting from the date
of issuance of the certificate of temporary incapacity for work. After two years, if the subsidy has
not been claimed, the right will be definitively barred.

General illness

Disability due to general illness is granted by an IMSS doctor to the insured who suffers a
condition that is not caused by a work-related accident or illness, i.e., the inability to work is
unrelated to any work-related consequence or situation.

The payment of subsidies can be extended for up to 78 weeks, subject to the prescription of
incapacities by IMSS doctors.

Amount of general sickness benefit.

Only as of the fourth day of disability, the insured will be entitled to the payment of a subsidy
from the IMSS equivalent to 60% of the salary at which he/she was contributing to the IMSS on
the date of the onset of the illness. No benefit is paid for the first three days of incapacity.

Requirements for the benefit of the general sickness benefit.

The insured must have a minimum of 4 weeks of contributions immediately prior to the date of
onset of the illness.

The contingent worker must have contributed 6 weeks in the last four months prior to the date of
onset of the illness.

Prescription of the right to receive the subsidy

The right to claim the payment of each subsidy is for one year, counted from the date of
issuance of the certificate of temporary incapacity for work; if the subsidy is not collected within
one year, the right will be definitively barred.

Maternity

Maternity disability occurs when the insured is between 42 days prior to delivery and 42 days
after delivery. It is important to note that this benefit only applies to workers registered with the
IMSS as such.

The IMSS doctor will prescribe to the insured worker a disability for 42 days prior to the
estimated date of delivery and another disability for 42 days thereafter.

Amount of general sickness benefit.

During the period of incapacity, the worker will be entitled to a subsidy from the IMSS equivalent
to 100% of the salary at which she was contributing to the Institute at the beginning of the
prenatal incapacity.

When the birth occurs later than the date estimated by the IMSS doctor, certificates known as
liaison certificates will be issued covering the period between the last day of prenatal incapacity
and the actual date of delivery. The liaison certificate will be paid the same as a General
Sickness certificate, i.e., at 60% of the IMSS registered salary.

If the delivery is anticipated and occurs within the prenatal disability period and the insured was
not under institutional medical control and treatment during pregnancy, the subsidy for postnatal
disability will be adjusted, deducting the days that would have overlapped with the prenatal
disability. In the event that the doctor indicates that the insured worker was under medical
supervision during pregnancy, the two incapacities will be paid in full even if there are
overlapping days.

Requirements for the benefit of the general sickness benefit.

The insured must have a minimum of 30 weeks of contributions during the 12 months prior to
the date on which the prenatal disability begins.

Pregnancy and due date must be certified by an IMSS physician.

Not to perform paid work during prenatal and postnatal incapacity.

Prescription of the right to receive the subsidy

The term to claim the payment of the subsidy is one year, counted from the date of issuance of
