This note is written for Standard Two Student

Ram stands on a table. Here Ram is Proper noun, table is common noun and stand is verb (Present tense). Ram is subject and table is object. Look s add with verb. In present tense if subject is third person singular number then s or es add with verb. Ram stood on a table. Here stood is verb (Past tense). A simple sentence form by following order: Subject + Verb + object Only difference in above two sentences is form of VERB. First example represents Present Tense. Second example represents Past Tense. I stand on a table. Here I is subject. Table is object and stand is verb. In past tense it will be: I stood on a table. See another example: Ram stands on a beautiful table. Here beautiful is Adjective. Home Work: Write the above sentence in past form. Ram stands on a table. Ram sings a song. These two sentences can rewrite as, Ram stands on a table. He sings a song. Here He is pronoun. In place of Ram (Noun), we write He (Pronoun). We can rewrite the above two sentences as following one sentence. Ram stands on a table and sings a song. Here and is conjunction, which connected the two sentences. In past tense it will be as follows. Ram stood on a table and sang a song. See another example. Ram stood on a table and sang loudly a beautiful song. Here loudly is adverb and beautiful is adjective. Look loudly is place after sang (verb) and beautiful is place before song (noun). Now we see another form of tense, which is present continuous tense. I am standing on the bench. Here I subject and bench object. Stand is verb, which is suffix by ing and am is also a verb which is called Be Verb. The Sentence formation in Present Continuous tense is as follows. Subject + Be Verb + Main Verb with suffix ing +Object. VERB:

Examples: I stand on a bench. I stood on a bench. I sit on a chair. I sat on a chair. I jump over the wall. I jumped over the wall. I walk on the road. I walked on the road. I run on the field. I ran on the field. A fish swims in pond. (Third person Singular number present tense: Verb= swim+s) A fish swam in pond. The fish swim in pond. (Here The fish means entire fishes, therefore it is plural) The fish swam in pond. I eat bread. I ate bread. I write a letter. I wrote a letter. I read a book. I read a book. I ride over a camel. I rode over a camel. He goes to school. (Third person Singular number present tense: Verb= go+es) He went to school. He comes from office. (Third person Singular number present tense: Verb= come+s) He came from office. I speak it clearly. I spoke it clearly.
