Solar powered architecture - why

Buildings cause 40% of the energy demand of the EU and are one of the main polluters of GHG-emissions. Thus energy saving in this area is an important aim for the European Climate Strategy.
Source: http://www.euractiv.com/de/nachhaltige-entwicklung/umweltfreundliche-gebaude

Three key targets of the European Council for 2020: A reduction of at least 20% in greenhouse gases (GHG) A 20% share of renewable energies in EU energy consumption Saving 20% of the EUs energy consumption

FIT feed in tariffs

Would you like to get information about .. a secure investment which gives a annual rate of return of 6% to 8% by 10% private equity a regulatory framework which created about 300.000 jobs (until 2009) and will create up to 500.000 jobs till 2020 a regulatory framework which accelerates independency from conventional energy sources a regulatory framework which boosts innovation and renewable energy development a regulatory framework which created a 33.400.000.000 euro turnover in 2009

FIT feed in tariffs - who pays the bill?

Who is going to pay the extra costs of the favorable tariff rate?? >> passed on from supplier to end consumer >> shared among all energy consumers as a premium on the per kWh-end user price in figures: >> 1.5 euro / month / household (= 1.1 cent / kWh in 2008, in total 4.5 bn. EUR)
