Changes since DreamSNES 0.9.

7: -----------------------------o SA-1 emulation fixed (Super Mario RPG now works (again)) o C4 emulation implemented (MegaMan X2/X3 now works) o Putting a file called "NO_ROMS.HERE" in a directory prevents it from being scanned for roms. o Added in game menu that lets you choose among other things to reset the game or jump to the next or previous game on the CD. o Fixed sprites in hires mode with transparencies on. Fixes Tokimeki Memorial. o Fixed memory map for Super Dante RPG maker. o Improved buffer handling in mpeg player. o New locales: Charnego and Romanian. Changes since DreamSNES 0.9.6: -----------------------------o Fixed a missed sign extension of an 8-bit value in the assembler core. This should fix problems with counters running wild and other more or less peculiar artifacts people have noticed. o Speeded up ROMS.LST handling and fixed some bugs in it. o Lowered the in-game sample rate a bit to increase over all emulation speed. o Settings are now saved on the VMU. o Reenabled "Disable transparencies" option on popular demand. Changes since DreamSNES 0.9.5: -----------------------------o Fixed bug in saving. o Fixed bug in multi-tap support. (Multiplayer in Bomberman works again.) o Fixed interlace problems on PAL. o Fixed glitches in stereo sound. Both ingame and in the menu. o Support multiple mpeg layer 2 or 3 sound files in the sound directory. Song names and artists will be read from the id3 tag if it exists. o Reenabled the "CPU optimizations" mode, which was accidentally disabled in the last release.

Changes since DreamSNES 0.9.4: -----------------------------o Rewrote 65c816 CPU core to SH4 assembler. o Added light gun (SuperScope) support. o Fixed a bug that made it impossible to save unless the VMU was in port A, slot 1. o VMU saving have been improved to work on all VMUs available for testing. o Whenever a save is in progress a VMU icon will appear in the top left corner. If the save fails for some reason a message will be displayed with the reason for the failure. o VMU saves are compressed. This reduces practically any save to two blocks. o Yoshi's Island (and other SuperFX games) no longer crashes DreamSNES. o Controllers are now automatically configured based on what is connected to the Dreamcast. Check the heads up display in the top right corner when starting a game for the current configuration. The configuration can be dynamically changed while playing by removing or adding peripherals to the Dreamcast ports. o A file (ROMS.LST) can optionally be added to the cd to speed up the rom scan. The game names will then be takes from the file instead of scanning the rom header. o Added Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish and Spanish translations. Thanks to all locale contributors! Changes since DreamSNES 0.9.3: -----------------------------o Arcade stick owners can use the C button for select and Z t go back to the DreamSNES menu. Untested. Someone actually owning an arcade stick might want to tell us if it works. o Key repeat issues in the menus fixed. o Optional hardware assisted fullscreen mode added. o Translations added. For now English and Swedish. Oh, and French, but Babel-fish did that one. Anyone who speaks French is welcome to send us a better translation. All of them (including Segas) have timing problems that had to be worked around. o The ROM-files can now optionally be put in a subdir called "roms/". This fixes the problem many have had with not seeing the bottom part of the screen. o Added a configuration switch between 60 and 50Hz. o Added double buffering. o Tweaked frame skip to get better playability. o Added in-game stereo sound. Previous version had mono only. o Added configuration option to switch between stereo, mono, or turn off in-game audio emulation completely. o Changed the ROM menu to handle multiple pages of ROMs. You can now have 1024 ROMs on each CD, as opposed to 29 in the previous release. o Made ROM-scanning asynchronous. You can now select and start games before the ROM scan is complete. o Added mpeg player and included two great songs written by Jan Warnstam: Bubbleghost (Anything is Possible Edit) and Polyhedron.
