Project Trust is a Registered Charity which sends around 280 young volunteers abroad to 23 countries annually. It is widely respected as one of the most experienced and professional Gap Year organisations in Britain. Project Trust is special as it sends volunteers away for 8-12 months as they feel that this is the only way a volunteer can really learn about and appreciate the local culture and so to be able to make a difference If you would like further information regarding Project Trust please write to the address below.

ABOUT ME

FUNDRAISING
In order to participate in this once in a lifetime experience,

SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa has very diverse cultures and languages. There are 11 ofcial languages spoken across South Africa as well as up to 8 unofcial languages. Its national anthem reects this, with 5 different languages! The apartheid in South Africa ended in 1994 with the election of the African National Congress. South Africa is a very ethnically diverse country with around 79% of the population being black, 9% white and 11% coloured or asian.

I need to raise 5,100.

I have several fundraising events organised, such as selling home-made jams, cards and African themed bracelets. I will also be giving out smartie tubes for people to ll with money for a prize. This leaet is to raise awareness of what I am doing and will hopefully generate funds to help me on my way.

My name is Damson Tregaskis and Im 17 years old. I studied Geography, Psychology and Photography AS at Xaverian College. I now have 2 jobs: working in a laptop and P.C repair shop and in a sweet shop. I also do lots of baby-sitting and child-minding for families in my neighbourhood.
