ASSIGNING INVIGILATION DUTIES

ABSTRACT:
Invigilation means the act of managing something by overseeing the performance or operation of a
person or group. So we have to assign invigilation duties for the staff in college. Assigning the invigilation duties for the staff by software is important to overcome the problems done by the manual system. In this we take the teaching Asst.Professors and their departments based on the priorities of the departments we assign the duties. If we consider a single examination hall means 48 Students are present in that hall in those 24 students are related to one branch and another 24 students are related to the another opposite branch.(for example cse and ece are the opposite branches)For that examination hall we assign invigilators related to the opposite branch for those two branches.For every examination hall we have to assign two invigilators if the students present in the room are less than 30 means single invigilator is required.By using this software we implement this technique and also the total amount given to the each invigilator is calculated based on the number of invigilations assigned to them.So finally the total amount that is spent for all the exams for invigilations will also be calculated.

EXISTING SYSTEM:
The existing system for assigning the invigilation duties is manual.In the manual process the assignment of invigilators is based on number of students in the college.And we also consider the number of students present in the college and how many number of students are allocated to each class room. For assigning the invigilators we also consider the priorities for the departments.(for example civil engg has highest priority than remaining).

DRAWBACKS OF THE EXISTING SYSTEM:

The manual process for assigning the invigilation duties is time consuming. There is a possibility of occuring errors for assigning the invigilation duties and amount calculations.

PROPOSED SYSTEM:
To overcome the drawbacks of the manual system for assigning the invigilation duties we propose a software.The proposed system for assigning invigilation duties is automated.In the proposed system we use databases for storing the staff details and the examination details and we retrive data from the databases.

ADVANTAGES OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM:

It is very easy process by using the software for assigning invigilation duties. The calculation of amounts given to the invigilators is also easy by using this software.
