Developed by Don Allen and Pete Grisel in 1986, the Dakota Model 76 exemplies the very best of bolt-action innovation with the exquisite lines and impeccable shot-to-shot precision created only through the individual attention of Dakota craftsmen. The action combines the best features of the pre-64 Model 70, along with a number of Dakota innovations and a Mauser-type extractor for controlled round feed and ultra-positive extraction. Every model can be custom-tailored to your size and preference, with a wide range of calibers and optional features available.

Created for the global hunter, the Traveler is a Model 76 that takes down into two sections the receiver/stock and
barrel/fore-end for compact carrying. You can even add a second barrel from the same family of calibers for optimum versatility. For example, combine a 300 H&H with a 375 H&H, or a 7mm Dakota with a 404 Dakota, for the ultimate plains game and big-game combinations. Available in a wide range of calibers and, like the Model 76, in Classic, Safari and African grades.

The Traveler allows you to carry two dierent caliber/barrel combinations in a small, unobtrusive case that does not say rearm to prying eyes. We can t your Traveler with detachable scope rings to make for an even smaller package.
