Installationinstructions
Afterthekeyhasbeenremovedfromtheignition,youneedtoremovethelowerpassenger*fascia.

*ThispicturewastakenfromaNorthAmericanvehicle,onlefthanddrivevehicle,theECUwillbeonthe otherside. TheECUmoduleisthewhiterectangle.RemovetheECUmodulefromitslocationbyspreadingthe plastictabsoneachextremity.Youcannowpullonthemodule. TheconnectionsshouldbedonewithouttheEASCconnectedtoitsharness.ConnecttheEASC toitsharnessonlywhenalltheconnectionstothevehiclearedone. Page3of11 CareshouldbetakentopreventmalfunctionoftheEASCandECU.Eachwireshouldbeconnectedone byoneandtapedbeforeyouconnectanotherone.Thiswillpreventshortscircuitsandthewasteof timeassociated.DonotuseTTypeconnection,theydonotprovideagoodelectricalcontact. Beforeyouconnectanywires,westronglyadviseyoutoremovetheECUfuse(number57in glovebox)ordisconnectthebattery. Herearethestepstoproperlyconnectyourwires SkinyourEASCwiressufficientlyusingyourwirecutters,minimumofoneinch.

Connections
Powerandgroundwires Onthewhiteconnectoryouwillseetwobigwires;thesearethe12Vandgroundwires. Usethefuseholderwitha3ampfusewhenconnectingtheREDwireoftheEASCtotheRED (pin10)wireontheECUharness.ThefuseholdershouldbetheclosestpossibletotheECUwire. ConnectthebrownwireoftheEASCtothebrown(pin5)wireoftheECU.

Signalwires TheotherconnectionsaremadeusingthewiresontheblackconnectoroftheECUmodule.TheYellow andBlackwiresneedtostaytwisted.Onlyattheconnectionpointcantheybeuntwistedthelength needed.Youwillseetwoyellowwirestwistedtogether,theYellowandBlackwireswillbeconnectedto thistwistedpair. ConnecttheBlackwireoftheEASCtotheYellow/Black(pin2)wireoftheECUharness. ConnecttheYellowwireoftheEASCtotheYellow/Brown(pin20)wireoftheECUharness. ConnecttheWhitewireoftheEASCtotheWhite/RedorWhite/Red/Yellow*(Pin37)ofthe ECUharness.Onsomevehicle,thereare2White/Redwires.Becarefultoconnectyourwhite Wiretotherightone.

ConnectingandEASCselfdiagnostic
Reconnectthebatteryorreinstallfuse57previouslyremoved.

YoucannowconnecttheEASCmodulewiththekeytotheoffposition.Uponconnecting,theEASCwill writemessagesontheinstrumentcluster.Herearethemessagesdefinitions:

Normalmessages:
EASC:COMMTOEASOK,theEASCwasabletocommunicatewiththeEASECU. EASCALLCONNECTOK,allconnectionsareok. TURNKEYTOIGNITION,whenyouseethismessage,turnthekeytotheonposition.Ifthekeyisalready attheonposition,turnitoffandonagain.

Errormessages:
Ifyouseeanyofthefollowingtwomessages,itmeansthatyouarenotcorrectlyconnectedtotheCAN network.Verifytheconnectionsoftheyellowandblackwires. EASC:ERROR1or2CAN,connectionerroronCANwires(twistedpair). Ifyouseethefollowingmessage,verifythattheEASECUisworkingandthatithaspower. NOCOMMWITHEASECU,theEASCwasenablecommunicatewiththeEASECU.

Page9of11 Nomessages: Ifyouhavenomessagesontheinstrumentcluster,pleasemakethefollowingverifications: MakesurethewhitewireoftheEASCisconnectedtothewhite/Red*(pin37) Verifythepower(redatpin10)andground(brownatpin5)connections. Verifythatyouhave12Voltsbetweentheredandbrownwires.

*White/Redwiremayhaveyellowdotsonit. Ifitallfails,contactourcustomersupport.

Finalizinginstallation
Nowthateverythingworksfine,attachtheEASCsolidlyusingtiewraps.Makesurethereisnocontact betweenthewiresandanysharpmetalpartsofthevehicle. Putthevehicleinparkandthekeytotheonposition.Wait30secondsandpresstheresumebuttonof thecruisecontrolonthesteeringwheel(topleft).Keepthebuttonpressedforatleast10secondsand thenreleaseit.TheECUControlmessageshouldappearontheinformationdisplay.Youarenowready touseyourEASC.Foroperatinginstructions,pleaserefertotheusermanual.
