(Tabrani, Hadith #: 2155, Narrated by U badah bin Samit) HOORS 1) Cleaning the Musjid is the dowry for the Hoors of Jannah (Tabrani)

No t only will you revise the knowledge you possess, you will also obtain the rewar ds of those who practice on the knowledge you shared. So the more knowledge you spread, the more you will gain. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu Anhu) narra tes that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "Anyone who calls people to guidance has the same reward as that received by tho se who follow it, without that decreasing their reward in any way. We learn from this Hadith that no good deed, regard less of how minor it may seem, goes unrewarded by Allah. A person should seize e very opportunity of doing good deeds in this world which will benefit him in thi s world and the Hereafter. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE SUFFERS A HEADACHE OR FEVER Nasihah (Advice): Almost every person suffers a headache or fever occasionally i n his/her life. Whilst this may seem to be a condition of discomfort, it is a bl essing in disguise. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said: As a person suffers a headache or fever, his/her sins are erased to such an extent that eve n if his/her sins were equal to the mount of Uhud, they will be reduced to the a mount of a mustard seed (Musnad Abu Yala, Hadith#: 6150, narrated by Abu Hurayrah )

WHEN THE SIN OF ANY SERVANT INCREASE Nabi sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: When the sins of any servants increase and he does not possess good deeds which will atone for it then Allah Taala afflicts him with grief and sorrow in order to expiate for those sins. (Tirmizi) THEN THE HEALTHY ONES WILL WISH Hazrath Jabir radiyallahu anhu says that Rasululah sallallahu alaihi wasallam sa id: When the afflicted ones are given reward on the day of Qiyaamah, then the he althy ones will wish that their skins were cut with scissors in the world (so th at they may also attain the same rewards) (Tirmidhi) ELEVATION OF STATUS Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: When a position (of proximity to Al lah) has been destined for a servant of Allah Ta`ala but, he is unable to reach that position through his own deeds, then Allah Ta`ala besets him with calamitie s to his body, wealth, or children. Allah then enables him to adopt sabr (be pat ient) until he reaches that position which has been determined for him. (Abu Dawo od, Ahmad)

To break such relations eradicates the good deeds of a person (Tirmiza: Hadith #: 2509) A MUSLIM SHOULD MAINTAIN A CLEAN HEART Nasihah (Advice): A Muslim should maintain a clean heart and avoid harbouring il l feelings against others. Harbouring ill feelings, malice, jealousy hatred agai nst others only causes more discomfort and misery to the bearer himself and is d evoid of any benefit. On the other hand, if a person maintains a clean heart, he will experience more contentment and be more focused in life. Together with thi s, he will be fulfilling a great Sunnah of Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and

will earn the blessed companionship of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) in Jannah. Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah ( Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) once said to him:O my beloved son, If you are able to pass the morning and evening without harbouring ill feelings against anyone, th en do so. O my beloved son, this is from my Sunnah and the person who revives my Sunnah indeed loves me. And whoever loves me will be with me in Jannah (Tirmizi: Hadith #: 2678)

By smiling at your next Muslim brother, even if he is a stranger, he feels more comfortabl e in your presence. This in itself is a form of Sadaqah and a person will be rew arded for it. Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: Do not think little of any good deed to be in significant, even if it is meeting your brother with a cheerful face." (Sahih Mu slim) SALAAH Nasihah (Advice): One of the most important aspects in the life of the Muslim is the five daily Salaah which is from the fundamental pillars of Islam. The Hadit h makes mention that the first thing a person will be questioned about on the da y of Qiyamah is his Salaah: On the day of Qiyamah, the first thing his Salaah. If this is found to be in saved (and will enter paradise) and if will be doomed to failure and will be arrated by Abu Hurayrah) a person will be questioned about will be order, he will be successful and will be his Salaah is found to deficient, then he unsuccessful. Insha Allah, this will replace the jealousy in your heart with love and compassion for them. Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said, Gi ve gifts to each other, you will love each other and it will remove the evil fee lings from the heart (Muwatta Imam Malik, 3368, Narrated by Ataa) MAINTAINING FAMILY TIES Nasihah (Advice): Maintaining family ties is considered to be one of the most vi rtuous acts in Islam. It is also a means of attaining Barakah in ones life and we alth. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said: Whoever wishes for his life to be extended and his wealth be increased, he shoul d be good to his parents and join family ties (Musnad Ahmed, Hadith #: 13401, Na rrated by Anas THERE IS NOTHING DEARER TO ALLAH THAN DUA Nasihah (Advice): Never underestimate the power of Dua. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has said: There is nothing dearer to Allah than Dua (Tirmizi, Hadith #: 3370, Narrated by Abu Hurayrah)

WUDHU Nasihah (Advice): Many of us underestimate the importance and benefits of Wudhu whereas it is a great Ibadah and the key to most important form of Ibadah, i.e. Salaah. In the Hadith it is recorded that the key to Salaah is Wudhu. In one nar ration it is recorded that by a person remaining in Wudhu, his Rizq is increased . He wh o assists his Muslim brother in the time of need, Allah will assist him in the t ime of need. He who removes any difficulty from his Muslim brother, Allah will r emove obstacles from his path and he who conceals the faults of his Muslim broth er, Allah will conceal his faults on the day of Qiyamah. The strong man is the one who has control of himself when he is angry." (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith #: 6114) THE DUA OF A MUSLIM FOR THE NEXT MUSLIM Nasihah (Advice): Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has encouraged us to b e generous in our Duas for others. It is important that a person makes Dua for h imself but it is also encouraged that a person should make Dua for others. Makin g Dua for others will not cost you anything. Rather, the more you make Dua for o thers, the more you will benefit. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)used to say: The Dua of a Muslim for the next Muslim in his absence is definitely accept ed. An angel is appointed to stand right next to him and whatever good Dua the p erson makes for his fellow Muslim, the angel says Ameen to it and also says: May Allah give you the same (Sahih Muslim, Hadith #: 6929) WHEN A PERSON PASSES AWAY, THEN ALL HIS ACTIONS CEASE EXCEPT FOR THREE Nasihah (Advice): Whatever good a person imparts in this world, the rewards keep recurring as long as people take benefit from it. So we should endeavour to seize every opportunity to spread good and prepare f or the Aaakhirah. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: when a person pas ses away, then all his actions cease except for three: a) Sadaqah Jaariyah, b) K nowledge which he imparted and is now being benefitted from or a pious child who will make Dua for him (Sahih Muslim, Hadith #: 1631)

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith #: 2573, Narrated by Abu Saeed & Abu Hurayrah)

VIRTUE OF KNOWLEDGE Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said to Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (Radiyallahu Anhu): "O Abu Dharr if you set off to learn one aayat of the Qur aan, it is bet ter for you than a hundred rakaats (Nafl) Salaah; and if you set off to acquir e one chapter of the knowledge (of Deen), it is better for you than performing a thousand rakaats (Nafl) Salaah, irrespective of whether you practiced on it (t he knowledge) or not."(Ibn Majah, Hadith #: 219) FOR THOSE WHO HAVE DOUBTS ABOUT EVIL SPIRITS, WITCHCRAFT (SIHR) ETC. If it i s recited in a home, and there is a Shaitaan, it will leave. The verse is Ayatul Kursi (Mustadrak Hakim: Hadith #: 3026) ENCOURAGING A GOOD DEED Nasihah (Advice): We should seize every opportunity that comes our way to suppor t a good deed for we will be rewarded for it. Not only will we be rewarded for s upporting a good deed, we will also earn the reward of doing the good deed even though it has been carried out by someone else. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa sallam) has said in the Hadith: The person who encourages a good deed will receiv e the same reward of the person who had carried out the good deed (due to his en couragement) (Abu Dawood, Hadith #: 5129, Narrated by Ibn Masoud) A DUA OF A SICK PERSON Nasihah (Advice): Visiting the sick reaps many rewards and is a part of Husnul K huluq (good character). When visiting the sick, one should observe the etiquette of the same, for example, don t remain by the sick person for so long that he/s he is inconvenienced, visit at times that are suitable for the patient to receiv e visitors, offer words of encouragement to the patient etc. We are also advised in the Hadith to request the sick person for Duas. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaih i Wasallam) said: When you visit a sick person, request him to make Dua for you. For indeed, his D ua is like the Dua of the Malaikah (angels). (Ibn Majah, Hadith #: 1441, Narrated by Umar)

HONESTY Nasihah (Advice): Honesty is a feature that distinguishes a true Muslim from a h ypocrite. Sadly, this quality of honesty seems to have become almost non-existen t in this era. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) has drawn the difference between a true Muslim and a Munafiq (hypocrite) with very clear terms. The signs of a Munafiq are three: a) when he speaks, he lies. b) When he makes a promise, he fails to fulfill it. c) When he is entrusted with something, he abuses that t rust (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith #: 33, Narrated by Abu Hurayrah). To develop this great quality of honesty, we should remind ourselves constantly that Allah is aw are of our actions and intentions. Furthermore, we should ponder over the benefi ts of honesty. In a Hadith in Sahih Muslim is mentioned that a person who remain s honest in his dealings and way of life will eventually be declared by Allah as a Siddeeq (a very high ranking saint who enjoys a status just below the Prophet s in Jannah) SUBHAANALLAH Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Amr (RA) reported that Rasulullah said: He who recites Subha anallah 100 times in the morning and another 100 times in the evening is like on e who performed Haj 100 times! (Tirmidhi)
