The pragmatic, political measures that Eisenhower tried to use to manage the economy were that of increasing minimum wage, unemployment and social security. He incorporated tax cuts as he was increasing the benefits to over 10 million employees. Some of the programs he helped to offer more to their employees were the Department of Health, welfare and the Department of Education. Americans believed that at the end of WWII it would cause for the great Depression to start again. This wasnt the case at all there was a greater increase of automobile sales, which of course opened up jobs in the automobile plants. Aviation and electronics began to increase in production as well. The end of the WWII was also what was considered the baby boom, this was the time that since there was an increase in the need for housing it was considered the housing boom (2009).
