1. Analysis

Todays world, mostly relying on automated and online e-business service providing systems. But within Sri Lanka, yet it is far behind on that level. So, we decided to make an online pet selling/purchasing web application as we mentioned in earlier documents. In here, we had to face for a big problem. We had to define requirements in our own due to lack of resources. In that case we have followed some online web applications to achieve our requirements to make our web application possible and success. The objective of the proposed system is to create a web based system and provide selling and purchasing facilities (pets) to the client and the owner.

Requirement Analysis

We couldnt able to use the main Requirement Gathering technique of Interviewing for this system. As we mentioned above, we had to define our own requirements by following and referring other online e-business (for pets) web applications.

2. Planning

In the planning process, we are mainly targeting about how the requirements can be fulfilled with the time constraints and the other developing constraints. So basically we had planned it with allocating suitable time periods for each and every process. We created a Gantt chart to show the respective time slots with each jobs. Also we planned it with by referring some other procedures which are in the internet.

3. Design Here we are mentioned about the Architecture of the web application. Mainly about the class diagram, use-case diagram, and the proposed prototype for the Interface (Home page).

4. Motivation So far we had worked with our project to a reasonable state. We had gathered well defined requirements, with our own experience and by referring some other online webs, some reading materials etc.. to considerable extent. As mentioned in above, without a proper client it was much difficult to collect and gather fully detailed requirements. Because of this we had to spend some reasonable time period to do following things as respect to modern e business web applications (more than two weeks). Gathering requirements Analyzing requirements Specify requirements When it comes to designing part, we had to overcome some major design issues. Such as Designing the web application in object oriented manner Designing the fully normalized relational Database architecture Nevertheless we had managed these issues and we designed our systems architecture to some satisfiable extent. As a result of that effort we drew a class diagram which clearly shows the systems main architecture and ER diagram even it is not attached with this progress report. Finally, we are proud to say that the progress of the online web application is going very well according to the planned Gantt chart.
