INTRODUCTION
According to Wakefield (1996:364) learning can be described as a relatively permanent change in the behaviour of an individual based on his/her experiences or discoveries .It is only if we know how knowledge is acquired that we will be able to use appropriate teaching and learning methods in the classroom and on the real world hence the design of website. CHARECTERISTICS OF AUTHENTIC LEARNING Have real world relevance-It is included in my website because it is not a classroom based task .It has been professionally published, so that learners are able to use it in the real world. Learners are not forced to learn in the classroom. One component of authentic learning is that it targets it targets real problem and the students engagement hold the possibility of having an impact in the classroom. In science, for example, this maybe accomplished when student collect water quality data from local steams. In literacy, reading resources could be connected to real life with bus schedules, maps, diaries and interviews It is ill defined- requiring student to define the tasks needed to complete the activity .In my website i have used my own topic Social sciences with flying colours and the subthemes e.g. resources to complete the major task which are website designed. Learners must exercise higher levels of thinking. For example science teaching should reflect the scientific process of knowledge construction. In my website student are required to use thinking skills to fill in the answers and also to define some terms based on the topic. It Provide opportunity to collaborate- My website collaborate with real world because it gives the learner all information he/she needs e.g. under subtheme topics, it is where they are going to learn more about HUMAN EVOLUTION and the pictures are going to help them to understand where do people come from. Pictures also help the learners with learning barriers hence learners use different learning styles.

WHAT IS AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT

Authentic assessment refers to a task that resembles reading and writing in the real world (Hiebert, valentia & Afflerbach, 1994, Wiggins, 1993) Its aim is to asses many different kind of literacy abilities in the context that closely resemble actual situation in which those abilities are used e.g. authentic assessment ask student to read texts, to write for authentic purpose about meaningful topics, and to participate in authentic literacy tasks such as discussing books.

o PROBLEM SOLVING- It is where learners are producing their own knowledge .They use their own examples to show deeper understanding of concepts, rather than test that captures student performance at one point in time, limit ways of expressing knowledge. PRODUCTION OF KNOWLEDGE -rather than reproduced usage of internet will help them to research and understand more even if they did not understand the teacher clearly in the classroom. Learners will also be able to indicate their own factors. Assessment is the process of developing , interpreting well designed ,developmentally appropriate tests that provide useful information.

Numerous changes are occurring in the teaching process .Expert learners have an experience and knowledge that allows them to assimilate and process new information fare if they can reconcile new information with prior knowledge, Once the team has identified the relevant learning principles and supporting learning develop a set of design principles.
