Calendar of Events Week of November 1, 2011( Can you believe its SNOWING??!!!!)
Report Cards will be distributed during the week of November 7th. A narrative statement must be made in all content areas. Please request parent conferences for failing grades and excessive absences and tardiness. This includes all resource teachers. Formal Observations are continuing If you have not received your formal observation schedule, please be sure to let an administrator know.. FARMS applications have done extremely well. We have achieved 100%. We congratulate Mr. Ashby-Bey and the team for a job well done. Extended Day Applications will be distributed this week for the students that scored Basic and Low-Procient on the MSA. We are strategizing in an effort to provide support for all students as we strive to regain our AYP status. Faculty Meeting will be held on Monday November 14th at 3pm. Please be on time as we seek to plan and address school wide issues and concerns. Second Quarter begins on November 7, 2011. Please adhere to changes in resource schedules and classes in PTG. Election Day is November 8, 2011 Schools are closed Thanksgiving Holiday begins on Thursday November 24th thru 28th

Just a reminder
We will host special visitors on Tuesday November 1, 2011 from France. They will be with us to explore urban education and to observe the similarities and differences of the two countries. All students must a have a pass to transition throughout the building. There is to be no movement during the intervention block. We appreciate the middle school team with the

support of Ms. Campanella in the implementation of the middle school discipline and accountability initiative. Way to Go!!!!! Teachers and Paras are expected to be in their assigned classrooms at 8:00 am sharp! Students must be escorted to and from resource classes in an orderly fashion. Teachers are expected to be here on time every day. The sign in book is removed at 7:46am promptly. Please keep in mind that your attendance is being tracked. We are still in need of email addresses from all staff. Students are not allowed to use the laminator or copier for any reason. It is the responsibility of all adults to know the operating procedure for each machine and take the necessary steps to preserve the functions of the machines. Anyone not clear of the protocols in using the machines should seek assistance from Ms. Porter. Students are not to held afterschool for detention without notifying parents in advance. Please send home communications with students prior to implementing detention. American Education Week is quickly approaching. We will have an Open House during this week to showcase all of the wonderful learning that takes place here at Rosemont. Activities will include: Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads, Show off your College Day, Rosemont School Pride Day, Crazy hat and Crazy sock Day on Friday, and each day students will be broadcasting what education means to them via announcements. A Special Education Audit is forthcoming. However, the date has not been conrmed. Please be sure to submit all documentation in a timely manner to Mr. Abraham. Continue to check your emails for updates and procedures and policies as things continue to change. Open Enrollment will be taking place during October 24th-November 4th. Please govern yourselves accordingly.

Congratulations to Mrs. Dennis and her family on their new arrival. Baby Elim arrived on Wednesday October 26, 2011 at 6:14 p.m. He weighed 8lb 14oz. Mr. Kasper, Mr. Watkins, Mrs. Ross, Mr. Jones, Mrs. Goode, Mr. Coffey, Ms. Anderson, and Mr. Stephens in collaborating and strategizing to support Mr. Kasper as he undertakes the charge of combining the primary and intermediate special education classes.

To all Literacy and Math teachers who presented and attended PDs for the month of October To Para-Educators for your exibility and support for all school initiatives. We Welcome Ms. Jones and Ms. Turner as they return to support the Rosemont vision.
