Pre- flight Check ~Check the pointer is in the green range of pressure gauge. ~The wire seal and the safety pin are intact.

Precaution ~Test the fire extinguisher sideways before use. ~Stand approximately 6 to 8 feet away from the fire, moving closer gradually. ~Avoid breathing the fumes and use the PBE if necessary. Minimum of 15 minutes. *Do not open the box unless the hood is to be used. *Once in use the oxygen flow cannot be stopped.

Seal intact ~Check the minimun pressure is 1750 psi ~Check the extra disposable mask is available. ~No smoking in the vicinity. ~The hands of the administrator must be free from grease. ~Wipe off any heavy make-up or grease on the pax's face. ~Change to a fresh bottle when guage needle is just on or within the red hand. **in case of cabin decompression, oxygen in the entire bottle content can be used.

In position in position The pointer is in the green area of the pressure gauge. If the extinguisher become inoperative,the toilet can still be used provided that the smoke detection system is working

Operation ~Lift extinguisher using carrying handle. ~Pull the safety pin. ~Depress operating lever. ~Aim at the base of fire and use in a sweeping motion.

~Open the box. ~Pull foil pocket apart from the bottom of the box. ~Take out the hood. ~Place thumbs at red pointers and grab open neck seal. ~Don the hood, from back to front.

1)Ensure the disposable mask is connected to the constant flow outlet. 2)Open ON/OFF valve 3)Ensure O2 is flowing by checking the green part (flow indicator) of the reservoir bag inflates/ the green band appears on the dispensing tube. 4)Place the mask over the nose & mouth and place the securing elastic strap over the haed. Adjust the strap. 5)Observe the pax's condition. 6)When finished using the oxygen, ensure that the ON/ OFF valve is closed. 7)Inform the commander. On land: 1) Pull the red tab & pull the quick release handle to release the ELT. 2)Break the tape securing the antenna. This will allow the antenna to erect. 3)Break the tape holding the red lanyard and pull clear of the beacon. 4)Unroll the plastic bag under the lanyard. 5)Insert the lower part of the beacon into the plastic bag and pour in appr. 1L of water & mix with salt( Salt bag <20ml> is kept under the cord). 6)Place beacon in an open area and prop upright, so liquid does not spill. Shake liquid well from time to time. *After rescue, please beacon up side down to switch it off. At sea: 1)Pull the red tab & pull the quick release handle to release the ELT. 2)Unroll free end of cord at top of beacon. 3)Tie cord assembly securely to the slideraft. 4)Place beacon in the water. 5)The beacon will operate automatically in 5 sec.in the salt waterand may drift up to the length of the cord.

~Hold the megaphone up and pointed it towards the pax. ~Press the PUSH- TO -TALK buttom at the handgrip. Speak into the mouthpiece slowly in a strong and confident voice.

However, the toilet must be checked regularly and frequent (eveby 20 mins). If both items break down the toilet must be puy out service.
