Our apparel utilizes what is called soft body armor tech-

nology. This technology consists of highly advanced fibers
that are either tightly woven or layered into a fabric like
material. Each ballistic panel is comprised of multiple layers
of this material.

There are four independent ballistic panels and a liner

that make up each armored garment. The liner is built directly into the gar-
ment. The liner has four pockets in which four ballistic panels easily slide into.
The ballistic panels consist of one front, one back and two side panels. Once
all four panels are incorporated into the garment the wearer has full front,
back, and side protection, thus minimizing the threat of injury to vital organs.

Levels of protection we commonly utilize:

Level II:
Is the most common level of protection utilized in the law enforcement community. It pro-
tects against all the threats found in Level I and IIA, plus it protects against many of the
common hand guns found in the streets today. Level II is commonly noted as defeating
higher velocity 9mm rounds and .357 ammunitions.

Level IIIA:
Is the highest level of protection available in soft body armor technology. This level
protects against most handguns threats, including many of the high velocity handguns,
common submachine gun ammunitions, and shotguns (buckshot and slugs).

Threat level IIIA offers the highest level of soft armor protection, however it utilizes more
material, therefore it tends to be heavier and thicker than level II armor. Additionally, it is
more costly.

We are not solely a distributor or marketing company. We are involved in the design, research
and development, and manufacturing of all of our products. Our manufacturing partner
offers over twenty years experience in designing and manufacturing body armor for the
military and various law enforcement agencies. We are on the production floor everyday
making sure each product that leaves with our name on it is of the highest quality.

Our body armor is certified to be in full compliance with the National Institute of
Justice (NIJ) 0101.03/04 standards. All ballistic panels manufactured by Fortier & Co.
are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years from date of
purchase. All removable poly-cotton carriers carry an 18-month warranty from date of pur-
chase. Additionally, if you are not fully satisfied with the comfort and fit of your purchase,
contact our warranty department immediately. We will make any necessary alterations at no
charge for a period of (90) ninety days from receipt of purchase.
