MINISTRY TAKES NEW NAME/NEW DIRECTION

For those regular readers of our newsletter, you may notice that it has a new name. Instead of The Christian Womens Tiara Club, God has called us to rename the ministry Jesus Disciples Good News Ministry (JDGNM) to be inclusive of both men and women and to focus on a new direction. The ministry is moving away from the pageant and tiara representations and into a more dedicated mode of service to Christ our Lord and Savior. Watch for our upcoming postings of persons we would like to become members in order to fulfill the mission of the ministry which is to counsel individuals and married couples; to keep a professional website up to date with praise articles, recommended reading, prayers answered and information on how to contact us for prayers, donations and upcoming retreats; an accountant to keep track of our donations to worthy causes; legal experts; artists; writers and other advisors. The future looks exciting for JDGNM! We are currently discussing a Womens Conference and a Christian Retreat for 2013! Remember, to be a member you must be a Christian or desiring to become one; be willing to pray for and minister to others; represent God in your behavior 24/7 and not just on Sundays. We must constantly be on guard for the appearance that we give to others as we represent God. More to come!

The Ministry takes on a new name/new direction. What you need to know about Reprobate. Spotlight on Joseph Cameron. Christ in the Workplace. Professional Development links. Upcoming Events!

What you need to know about Reprobate but may have been afraid to ask. . .
If you dont know right from wrong and you do wrong it is not nearly as bad as knowing right from wrong and still choosing to do what is wrong.
From the perspective of The Bible, a reprobate is someone who refuses to make good use of the understanding of the Word of God provided to them, "these also resist the Truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith." (2 Timothy 3:8 KJV). Reprobate is used to translate the originate Greek word of the New Testament, pronounced, ad-ock-ee-mos, meaning rejected i.e. those who reject the Word of God will be rejected by God's Word in due time, as made plain by the Word of God (John 1:1,14), Jesus Christ: "He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings has a judge; the Word that I have spoken will be his judge on the last day." (John 12:48 RSV) The Reprobate Mind Reprobates know better, but they don't do better, they "hold the Truth in unrighteousness": "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the Truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things." "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the Truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet." "And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them." (Romans 1:18-32 KJV)

SPOTLIGHT ON JOSEPH CAMERON

Joseph CameronA True Disciple

I had the privilege of interviewing Mr. Joseph Cameron, a true man of God who recognizes himself a disciple who ministers to others. He feels that since one can never tell what another is going through, we must respect each other and be tolerant of each others ways. We should always have good words from God to share with those who may need to hear those words. Joseph is a true example of a disciple of God because he always has a smile, a greeting and good words of encouragement. He has encouraged me several times just in passing. In his words, to preach is to proclaim; to teach is to explain. The significance of that is anyone can preach but without teaching or explaining what the proclamation means, it is of little use. Therefore, Joseph almost always has a parable or story to use in establishing an example of what he is trying to portray in his message. One story that he shared with me was the story of the homeless woman on the streets of New York. (see JOSEPH page 3)

JOSEPH
Once there was a homeless woman in the Bowery section of New York City. This woman was living on the streets and her clothing was filthy. She was walking along one day and became very tired so she sat in front of an abandoned building. As she was sitting there a long limousine pulled up and a nice dressed man got out of the limo. This man was a lawyer. The lawyer approached her and put a stack of papers on her lap. He told her that her Uncle John had died and left the papers for her. As the lawyer climbed back into the limo, the woman got up and started yelling at the limo my Uncle John had money and all he leaves me is a stack of papers? As it grew cold the woman went into the corner of the abandoned building for warmth and some sleep. The next morning as she was sitting there warming her hands over a barrel of fire, she decided to turn over the first page of the stack of papers and it read, the delicatessen which is right around the corner on 2nd Avenue, was owned by [her Uncle John] and now it belonged to her. So she picked up her black garbage bag and her papers and made her way to the deli. As she got into the deli she told the people that her Uncle used to own the deli and that he had died and left it for her. The people behind the counter looked at the document and saw that it was legal and gave her the best meal they had on their menu. As she was eating she turned to the 2nd page and it read that the boutique uptown was owned by Uncle John and she now owned that. As her stomach became full she sat for a while, then she made her way uptown to 5th Avenue. When she went in she told the people the story and they looked at the document and saw that it was legal, they took her in and cleaned her up and gave her the best garment to put on. The boutique also had a beauty salon where the woman got her hair and nails done. As she was getting her hair and nails done she looked at the 3rd page and it said the co-op complex on Madison Avenue was owned by Uncle John and now it belonged to her. She could not believe what was happening! She left her boutique on 5th Avenue going towards Madison Avenue with a full stomach, hair neatly done and properly dressed. Everyone that approached her on her way to Madison Avenue was looking up to her, smiling at her and greeting her because they saw the grace and elegance she now exuded. As she approached the co-op complex she told the doorman the story. The doorman looked at the documents and said Mam Ive been expecting you. He took her upstairs to the penthouse and said this is the master suite and the building also belongs to you. The MORAL: This woman had received an inheritance. An inheritance is not something that you work for or buy, someone has to die and leave it for us. Im here today to tell everyone that we all have an inheritance . . . that Jesus Christ came and died for us so that we could have life and life everlasting, also we can live life and life in abundance! For it says in Psalms 23 For the Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want and as we make the Lord our shepherd we will not want!

Christ in the Workplace

All Good Work Serves God Dorothy Sayer, a writer and Chrisan humanist, often said that all work done well and for God's glory is Christian work. This means we model Christ in the workplace best when we perform our work so well and with such a good attitude that we inspire others to desire to know and worship God. Paul explained it like this: Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve (Col. 3:23-24). Christians in the workplace should be motivated by our desire to glorify God and to inspire others to desire to know him. Work done well is uncommon, and it will be noticed by our colleagues and clients or patients. God is honored when the products we create and the services we provide are excellent, based on the simple values of care, competence, and consistency. We are to care about the welfare of our clients. We are to pursue a high level of competency to enable us to deliver high quality products and services. And we should be consistent in our pursuit of excellence. Our Work Is Also Evangelism Those who don't know Christ may be inspired to seek him. And those who have turned their back on the church and Christianity, perhaps due to a previous bad experience with other Christians, may be influenced to reconsider Christianity. It is too common to experience other Christians in the workplace who talk the talk but don't walk the walk. They talk about morality and Christian stuff, but their work is lousy and their attitudes are poor. They may deliver poor product to the client or treat clients poorly or complain about their jobs or slander colleagues. Such negative behavior hurts workplace morale, undermines work relationships, and adversely affects clients. Instead, we are called to serve our clients with excellence. The quality of a Christian's work and attitude should be different from the quality of work and attitude of those who don't know Jesus. We are working for him, and therefore our work should be

good. Clients should be able to clearly see the quality and value of our goods and services. In their excellent book Your Work Matters to God, Douglas Sherman and William Hendricks write: The key to bringing the culture and the church back together, to renewing the workplace and reforming the church may well be a movement of people who are known for their hard work, for the excellence of their effort, for their honesty and unswerving integrity, for their concern for the rights and welfare of people, for the quality of the goods and services produced, for their leadership among coworkersin short, for their Christ-likeness on and off the job. What could an army of such workers accomplish? Doing excellent work with a good attitude is the right thing to do, and it is an excellent way to let our light shine on a hill so others may see it. Questions for personal reflection, online discussion, or small groups:
Read Col. 3:23-24 again. Who do you consider your boss? How can you work for that person as if working for the Lord? What does it look like to love your neighbor when your neighbor is a coworker, employer, customer, patient, student, or client? How can we accept responsibility for doing good work with a good attitude, without rationalizing our way to workaholism and burn out?
