Should Know HIS Will For Their Life!

A man who had been a Believer for just a few months tells his life story. He was a vital
part of the wood industry and had spent his entire adult life working for, and advancing
his career goals within a well known Cooperation. Just after retiring, he stopped by a
fast food restaurant and took his order outside to his vehicle to eat. While eating, he
watched a young worker open the back door, and empty a large bag of paper trash into a
dumpster. At that moment, the LORD showed him that his entire life was made up of
making paper products that always end up in the landfill. This man broke down and
began to cry and repent. He was wealthy, respected and had all the comforts in life that
money could buy. At the same time, he had never done a single thing that could be
considered important in life. Even more disturbing was the fact that he had never done
anything is his lifetime that mattered Eternally. After repenting and allowing the LORD
to heal his heart, he has devoted the rest of his life to the service of the gospel of JESUS
CHRIST.

Ways to discover God's will for Your Life -

According to Acts 13:1-5, The HOLY SPIRIT spoke while they were worshiping the LORD in
fasting and prayer in regard to HIS Will for their lives.

According to 2 Samuel 12:1-14, the LORD sent Nathan to David for godly council in regard to
HIS Will for David's life.

According to 1 Samuel 9:19 and Acts 11:28, the HOLY SPIRIT provides "words of knowledge",
"wisdom" and "prophecy" for those who are open to 'hear' HIM in regard to
HIS Will for their life.

According to 2 Corinthians 1:12, the LORD speaks to our conscience in regard to HIS Will
for our life.

According to Acts 16:9, The LORD at times gives us direction through "visions" in regard to
HIS Will for our life.

According to Genesis 37:5-9, The LORD at times gives us direction through "dreams" in regard
to HIS Will for our life

According to Matthew 1:20, The LORD sometimes sends us angels to explain HIS Will for
our life

According to 1 Samuel 3:1-14, The LORD sometimes speaks to us "out loud, audibly" in regard
to HIS Will for our life.

According to 1 Samuel 14:6-12, we can ask the LORD for "confirming circumstances," even
"laying out a fleece" before HIM in regard to HIS Will for our life.

Ways to ensure You will Never know His will for your life -

According to Psalm 18:24-26, "a heart that is not pure" before the LORD, will never
know HIS Will for their life.

According to Psalm 66:18-19, the one who "cherishes sin" more than holiness, will
never know HIS Will for their life.

According to James 4:7-10, the one who "fails to resist the devil" and his plan for their
life, and "refuses to draw near to God," will never know God's will for their life.

According to Romans 8.5-8, ones who fails to resist the desires of the flesh will never
hear from God and know his will.

According to Romans 12.2, one who conforms to this world, cannot conform to Him
and will never hear from God and know his will.

According to Eph 5.1-14, speaking of things that are works of darkness will keep you
from entering into his light and thus knowing the will of God.

It is the will of GOD that all who know and love HIM

Should Know HIS Will For Their Life!

Many people have bought into the lie that to know the Will of GOD for their life, is
something so very difficult to discover. The truth is, that your HEAVENLY FATHER is
always prepared to explain HIS plan for you, when you are truly willing to listen to HIM.
This is not a difficult task or an unreachable goal for the child of GOD.

According to Jeremiah 29:11-14, the LORD is near to you, and you will know HIS Will
for your life if you seek Him with all of your heart.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and
come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you
seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the LORD, "and will
bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where
I have banished you," declares the LORD, "and will bring you back to the place from
which I carried you into exile."

According to Jeremiah 33:3, the LORD will speak clearly to you in regard to HIS Will
for your life if you call out to HIM.

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not
know."

Discovering HIS Will for your life does not take months or years. You can truly know
GOD'S will for your life in just a few days at most. You have no reason to fear this
personal revelation from GOD.

A man who was called to a life of Youth Ministry when he was a teenager, knew that
JESUS had set him aside for this Ministry. He looked at his life, his failings,
shortcomings, and personal fears and decided to follow his own plans. This man was
very gifted in many areas, even volunteered to work with the Youth Ministry of his
Church while he owned and operated a successful business. And yet, he was never
fulfilled or satisfied, he always longed to be a Youth Pastor, He even trained a couple of
young men for work in the Youth Ministry who went on to become Youth Pastors
themselves. All the while, his fear and insecurity ruled his life, so that he would not step
out in faith into GOD'S Will for his life. These sins controlled him until his mid-thirties,
when he sold his business and began to walk by faith. Since that time, he has become an
extremely successful Youth Pastor leading many teens to JESUS. Today his personal
Ministry is responsible for many young people coming to full, mature lives in the LORD.
This man's is life is now fulfilled and full of joy due to his obedience to the LORD'S Will
for his life.

Would you make the same mistakes that these two men did with their lives. Be a person
who can learn from the mistakes of others. You should respond appropriately to GOD'S
will for your life. What profit is there in spending your entire life "making paper
products for the landfill" or running in fear and doubt due to personal insecurities. Do
not run and hide from the LORD'S Will for your life. There was only one Jonah in the
Bible and the Book is closed. Choose GOD'S Will for your life and live with all your
heart for the purposes of GOD that are Eternal and not of this world.

Brothers, Sisters, we are only here for a short time! Our life is not our own, we belong to
CHRIST. Romans 7: 4 tells us;

"So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might
belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear
fruit to God."

JESUS did not give you a spirit of fear. We read in 2 Timothy 1:7;

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-
discipline."

Do not be afraid for the LORD is always with you.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

Your life is important to the ONE who died for you and loves you with all HIS heart.
You may have asked the LORD before what HE would have you do with your life and
did not receive an answer you could understand. Your heart may or may not have been
open to hear and obey HIM in the past. Today is a new day in your life. Pray and ask
HIM to open your heart and mind to HIS perfect Will for your life. JESUS will hear
your prayer and answer your prayer. Since you have trusted HIM for your Eternal Life,
you can surly trust HIM to see you through life here on Earth in a way that is good and
pleasing to HIM.

HEAVENLY FATHER, I ask that you would cause me to want to know YOUR will for my
life above all other things in my life. I want to follow YOUR plan for me, and I
choose to surrender my will for YOUR will to be done in me. Please clearly show me
exactly what YOU have for me, and give me the desire and faith to follow YOU. I will
resist fear and honor YOU.

"I can do all things through JESUS who gives me HIS strength." Philippians 4:13

LORD, Please open my heart to hear and obey YOU . .
