Emphasize that many of us always like to look back at our past
victories. Share a personal example if possible. Dearest All:

It is always better for the

3) Faithfulness in: As a guide, the maximum

1. Weakness that the cell meeting
a. Philadelphia believers are not super Christians. They are weak but should last is 2 hours.
in their weakness they strive to be faithful. In their weakness they
strive to do the work of the Lord. To them, weakness is no excuse.
It only means they have to depend on the Lord more.
2. Word
a. They were obedient to the word. They choose the authority of the
word then the world.
b. They apply the truth into their lives
c. They guarded and kept the truth of God that was committed to
them.
3. Witness
a. They manifested a loyalty to the name of Christ Himself and had a
public confession of their trust in Him.
b. Their adversaries made it difficult for them to bear good testimony.
c. They nonetheless strive to bear good witness in the midst of their
weakness.
Jesus holds the key to all the doors of opportunity. When we are faithful
even though we are weak he will keep the door open for us all!

4) Allow members to share. Remember to write down so you can use it

as a prayer item at the end.

5) Emphasis that Vision 120 is not just the vision of Ps. Kieran. God has
given us the Great Commission (Mat 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8) and Vision
120 is but a start of greater things to come (our Jerusalem). The
ministry is intent on “building people” for Jesus Christ. Use the
opportunity to remind the members of the cell group’s vision. Use the
slogan “I win one, you win one, everybody wins one” to ensure for
multiplication growth.

III. Jesus Delivers Those who Endure (10 mins)

1) Faithfulness to endure patiently. The ingredient for enduring is

patience. Patience brings a promised reward.

2) Living out the word daily in their lives. Enduring even though they
are not rewarded for their faithfulness at the point of their obedience or
see the fruit of their righteousness. They are probably accused, lied to
(liars), beaten or even killed perhaps, ostracised and faced attacked
from the “synagogue of Satan”.

3) I hope you remember this point that Ps. Ronald preached on. Allow
the members to agree or disagree. Actually, ministry break is a double-
edge sword. Yes, we need it else we will burn out. But sometime, God
wants us to endure. The key is knowing the will of God. Are we too busy
doing too many things that God has not asked us to do? Remember my
teaching in the leader’s meeting: “We only have time to do the will of
God in our life!” Of course, different people have different capacity (cp
to parables of the talents) and sometime, we have to discern if it is a
time that God want us to stretch instead of taking a break.

4) Personal application question. Allow members to share if there is

anyone who want to. Else move on.

IV. Jesus Promises to Come Back (10 mins)

1) Jesus will establish us in his presence, and we will rule with him – I
will make pillars in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it.
I will write on them the name of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is
coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them
my new name.

2) It is our glorious hope. That there will be a finality in this heaven and
earth and that we will be victorious because we are already victorious.
Through the ages, it brings great encouragements to Christians
especially when they are going through times of persecution.

3) Let them evaluate their lifestyle and priority. If we have a dose of

eternity on our mind, we will do what has eternal value, eg. Winning
souls, building people, demonstrating concerns for others, social
outreaches etc and not self-centred. (remember last week lesson on
selfishness?

V. Conclusion (5 mins)

Give them 3 minutes to reflect on the lesson and write down one
application point. Take the next 10 minutes to pray for one another and
close the cell.
