RAMADAN IS BROTHERHOOD
Let's make a banquet for all the world and open a place for everyone in need. Our care packages are full of brotherhood during Ramadan. During Ramadan Anatolian Muslims Society invites all volunteers and people who wish to help to s support its activities. Anatolian Muslims volunteers will deliver care packages to Islamic Republic of Mauritania and Bangladesh as well as the other countries in need such as Somalia and Ethiopia by the help of other partner charities in as the world for those in need during Ramadan, evening meal tents will be set up and make the poor happy with festive holiday gifts. Ethiopian and Somalian children are dying from starvation and Anatolian Muslims Society invites you to support them.
African people have been displaced because of the drought. There are more than 400,000 Somalian refugees staying in the Dadaab Camp near Kenya and the number is increasing. The only hope of survival is the food and water at refugee camps which is given to one of every four refugees who left their hometown. According to the UN report, two million children are undernourished and in order for them to survive very urgent support is needed.
Refugees are walking for days to reach Ethiopia and 1 or 2 children in families of four even reach the camps.
Recently, Adrian Edwards, the Official Representative of the UN stated that the Dadaab Camp is the world's largest refugee camp.
The majority of the people fleeing West Africa to Ethiopia because of the drought. The UN is concerned that the climate change could be a permanent crisis. UN Human Rights Expert Shamsui Bari stated that the
situation in Somalia is becoming worse and the response of the world to the situation is very slow and not clearly realized.
The drought worsens and even the drought-resistant camels are beginning to die. The death of the camels clearly demonstrates that other less resistant wild life must be being affected.

Our Centre was founded by the Anatolian Muslims Society a registered charity established in 2004 by British Muslims of Turkish background. Thanks to major restoration beginning in 2008 the premises in Edmonton, London now comprises:
An Ottoman style Mosque with capacity of approximately 300 people Modern ablution facilities A meeting room for up to 70 people 4 classrooms 3 offices and guest rooms
As a well-attended mosque, the Centre addresses the urgent need for quality services and education of the British Muslim community in London. In addition, the Centre is intended to promote intercultural dialogue, greater understanding and community cohesion in the United Kingdom. It is consequently intended to be a resource for the whole community, non-Muslims as well as Muslims. Past activities have included:
Celebrations of religious festivals; Large scale circulation of Noahs Puddings to our friends and neighbours to celebrate Ashura; Fast breaking dinners; Numerous appeals including qurbani, Tsunami and the earthquake in Pakistan; Establishing and maintaining places of worship and other related institutions, such as weekend schools, to further the provision of sound education and teaching about Islam.
