An IIT-IISc Alumni Initiative

Subject: To request for conducting a two day Robotics Workshop (Li2-Robo-III) for II/III/IV Year Engineering Students. Li2-Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is an IIT-IISc Alumni Initiative and has strong passion in the fields of science and technology. The idea of starting Li2-Innovations germinated from the fact that Indian academic system predominantly focused on theoretical class room learning approach with little scope for the practical application of theory. For last two years we have conducted hands-on workshops and seminars in the academic institutions in the fields of Robotics, Physical Computing and Basic Sciences, eventually reaching out to an excess of 6,000 students and in 20 different cities across India. We are pleased to propose the conducting of a two day Robotics workshop in your esteemed college campus. During workshops, we motivate students to think beyond books and encourage them to apply the academic learning to product design and development. Our relationship with students continues even after the workshop where we offer online and offline technical support to convert their ideas into reality. This robotics workshop is designed by IIT-IISc Alumni. The trainers who would be conducting this workshop are passed out from premier Engg. colleges. Also they are passionate about Robotics and have relevant experience in the field of Robotics. They have conducted workshop in IITs, NITs and other premier engineering colleges across India. We are pleased to propose the conducting of a two day Robotics workshop in your esteemed college campus. The details of the workshop are in the subsequent pages.

Yours Sincerely, Raghavendra Majji Business Development Head

An IIT-IISc Alumni Initiative Details of Li2-Robo-III Workshop

Li2-Robo-III is a two days robotics workshop which involves building autonomous robots using microcontrollers. This workshop will introduce to the students Arduino (www.arduino.cc), which is an open-source physical computing platform. Arduino is an easy to understand and implement microcontroller platform which students in II/III/IV Year ECE/EEE/IT/CS/Mechanical/Medical Electronics streams can use for their B-Tech projects. Besides, the hardware and the software are open-source and there is plenty of information available online through an active community.

The main concepts covered in the workshop are: Microcontroller Family Selection Criteria for a Microcontroller Architecture of 8 Bit Microcontrollers Using I/O Ports Analog to Digital Conversion Pulse Width Modulation Using Timers and Interrupts Analog Vs Digital Sensors IR Sensors Vs Ultrasonic Sensors Design of Clap Sensors Motor Drivers and its internal architecture Dual Motor Direction Control

The session by session detail of the workshop is mentioned in the next page:
