Merespon dan mengungkapkan makna dan langkah retorika dalam monolog dan esei pendek sederhana berbentuk recount dengan menggunakan ragam bahasa lisan dan tulis secara akurat, lancar, dan berterima untuk berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sekitar. 2. Membaca nyaring bermakna esei pendek berbentuk recount dengan ucapan, tekanan, dan intonasi yang berterima yang berkaitan dengan lingkungan sekitar.

According to the doctor, I was infected by dengue fever. At first, I felt my body became weak then I fainted when I was studying in the classroom. Then, I was taken to the hospital because of the high fever. At the hospital, I was brought into the emergency unit. The doctor immediately gave some treatment. Finally, I had to stay there for one week. Every day, the doctor kept me on a drip. At the seventh day, my condition was getting better. After the final check, the doctor gave me permission to go home. Now, Im okay and because of my illness, I am now more careful about keeping in my house clean especially my room, I dont want to get the same illness again. Characteristics of recount text

Generic Structure:
Orientation: Information about what, who, where, or when

written in a letter.

Events: Events that happened in the past. They are

conveyed in a sequential pattern.

Closing: a conclusion on the events.

Language features:

- Using Simple Past Tense of verbs to show events that happened in the past. With regular

verbs, we just add the ending ed to the verbs to make the past form of the verbs. The affirmative form: Subject + Verb-ed
- Time connectives (then, finally, later, when, every Saturday, now, last week, everyday,

first, at the end, the next morning, one evening, the next day)
