Why you cannot miss this event

Efficient and reliable urban transport systems are crucial in present city development. The urban transport problems are growing acute mainly because of rapid motorization. With fluctuating fuel costs, more individuals are reverting back to public transportation but there has been a huge concern on the reliance of these modes of transport. The major challenge is how to improve the current urban transport situation in order to accommodate the rising demand for more efficient and accessible public transportation. Billions are put in by Governments to build mass rapid transit systems in attempt to ease current traffic situations. Traffic congestion is a very complex phenomenon. One way to look at it is as a demand and supply mismatch. The conveyance of people from one place to another is hindered by deficiencies in the transportation system that cannot cope with the sudden and undirected growth in certain areas. Because of "undirected growth," adequate infrastructure cannot be provided to address the growing demand for travel. Numerous factors and conditions have to be considered to ensure an effective and sustainable transport system. This 2-day conference will bring together government officials, public transport providers, traffic control departments and various organisations to discuss and pave the way for improving the public transport arena within Asia Pacific. It will address the challenges to strategic transportation planning, developing an integrated, intermodal transport system and effective management of traffic operations. We will also explore state of art infrastructure, essential transport security and safety measures, emerging transport technologies as well as financial outlay of public transportation. Don't miss this opportunity to be part of a regional transportation meet to gain insights on proven methodologies and practical solutions in establishing an effective and sustainable transport scene within Asia.
